At E3, they said that they were running the game on a PC to "console specs." So medium settings, not high or ultra high.
I feel the opposite. On the PS3, it's all matchmaking so you just play a game with a stranger then leave once the game is over. On the PC, though, there are dedicated servers so you play with the same people over and over.
It's a solid PC game, but it is still sort of a port. I mean, the textures are exactly the same as the console versions! They're not even higher res. There was an interview on PC Games Hardware with a dev and he said that they wanted all versions to look the same. Obviously the PC will have the edge with PhysX and higher resolutions, but the assets will still be the same.
Because most of the game industry is more focused on profits rather than supporting a community. It's like, why create a bunch of free content for Uncharted 2 to keep the online community thriving when we can make Uncharted 3 and make way more money?
Takes a looooooooong time to get into. But you ever do get into it, it can be a very rewarding game. It's certainly one of the most unique games out there.
They have updated it significantly. There's the original Source Engine, Source 2007 (also known as The Orange Box engine), Source 2009, and now Source 2010.

None of this footage is new. I am disappoint.
Yeah...
The antenna issue clearly exists. You seem not to understand how it works. By placing your finger on the trouble spot, you attenuate the signal by a significant amount (-20-30 dBm or so). If you're in an area with good reception, you'll still hold a signal, but it will be weaker. If you're in a poor reception area, that attenuation will push you over the threshold of maintaining a signal, which is around -120 dBm. Independent tests by many people, notably ...
XP is 9 years old, man. It's like saying, "that's shit. I wanna play these PS3 games on my PS2."
It's $30 on GoGamer.
Internet != mainstream market.
Yep, according to the latest Steam hardware survey, two-thirds of Steam users are running a DX10-compatible OS.
And Windows 7 64-bit has finally overtaken Windows XP 32-bit! 30.32% to 30.17%.
Oh hm... for some reason I thought I read in the article that it was for Fall 2010 releases.
EDIT: Yeah, it says Fall and Spring releases, so Fall 2010 and Spring 2011. In that case, Portal 2 and Killzone 3 could be on the list.
HOLY FUCK!!!!
You should make one, then. I'd like to see it.
Don't worry, this is just one review, and it's in the minority. 97 average on Metacritic.
Those games are releasing in 2011 (2012/2013 for Diablo 3).
That's a 2011 release.
The writer sounds mad. And he welcomes Ubisoft's DRM with open arms? ...what.
