There are a lot of things coming to PS4 that Vita owners have been used to for a while.
Like:
Manuals from the LiveArea screen
Low-power/suspend mode while the game sits there idle with zero resume loading
Background downloads no matter what you're doing
Playing a game whilst downloading a patch for said game
Friends' high scores and trophies listed below the game screen (likable and comment-able)
Party chat

GTA V did it right, too. Felt like that case was packed and waiting to burst open with confetti.
Also a huge fan of the Naughty Dog stickers that came with The Last Of Us.
I'm with you Mike.
At the same time though, some of the guys at Respawn have legitimately won GOTY awards from some pretty good publications.
1) Killzone Shadow Fall
2) Killzone 2
3) Killzone Mercenary
4) Killzone 3
5) Killzone
That's what I predict my order of Killzone games to look like from best down.
Killzone and Resogun for me. Everything else is just bonus.
I don't care about the sales numbers. I know they aren't good, but they aren't necessarily indicative of the console's quality.
I will buy a WiiU at some point. Nintendo still knows how to do local multiplayer, and that's the important bit to me.
Cross play and KB+M support would make this game a pretty killer title on ps4.
I'll still give it a go regardless.
I played the poop out of the first one on PC, but I still have yet to play 2.
I'm hoping the Vita version is good because I would love to play it on there.
I don't know anyone who owns a Vita, so I'll probably have to play with some N4G people... still better than randoms.
I can't see why the Vita wouldn't play it well. Because of the use of cell shading, the game is not that graphically intensive. I played the first game just fine on a net...
Ahahaha +funny bub Guru
I can see what you mean. My vita always accompanies either mine or the girlfriend's work day, but that's only because we both have jobs where there's time and the ability to play it. Otherwise, I wouldn't have bought it.
As an aside, Vitas are one of the most rugged pieces of mobile tech out there. I would bet on it over any smart phone, tablet or the 3DS any day. Thing's like a brick.
Saw it on the Vita store yesterday. Then I saw Activision below it, and the pieces fell into place.
Yup. Netflix, DVD, Bluray, YouTube, Crackle, streaming from pc media server, etc.
Not to mention, although everyone's mileage may vary, the original slim model is a pretty damn durable console. Mine's probably put up with more than my psx or ps2 ever would have and still works perfect. Definitely something worth keeping around.
Being able to put Linux back on it would be icing on the cake.
Fingers crossed here as well, but it would compete with Music Unlimited.
The theory in my head is that the publishing arm gets more say than the PlayStation arm, unfortunately.
I'll still hope though!
Me too.
I don't think they said if it can run in the background on Vita. That would be a nice touch, but I am doubtful.
You're caring too much what others think.
OT: it was never going to happen for launch titles this time around. The possibility was on later launch window games. Discs will be well into printing before the release candidate firmware is good to go. I'm assuming it will be the same on the other console, too.
To be fair, if it can play PC games without needing optimization then it already has a bigger library than both of those consoles combined.
Sine Mora is a good game, but it'll probably be divisive.
There are casual gamers out there who will get their head kicked in quickly and probably never want to play it again.
Classic shmup.
ID@stevehyphen reads:
Step 1) Put your indie game on Vita
Step 2) Take my money
These guys are working on step 1, and I will deliver on step 2.
Note: I said Vita because it's my preferred way to play indies.
Maybe that guy figured it all out.
Maybe back when I had a 33.6 modem the games looked like crap because of my bad network connection!
Oh wait, nope. It's because it was 1997.
I'm hyped up, too.
They did exactly what I wanted. 30FPS single player to make the game look pretty, and 60FPS multiplayer to make the game run smooth.
The videos make the controls look the sharpest that the series has ever seen.
I'm genuinely excited.
Who goes to GQ anyways?
That rag will turn you into a hipster/douche.
If i want a men's magazine, I'll go for Cigar Aficionado. Aside from the title, there are fine spirits, fine suits, and fine cars.
I don't want "advice," just vice.
The times changing just make me appreciate men like Hemingway a little more.
