Heck, it's not even that much to find an old PSX and build a physical library, if that's the route one wants to go.
Hmm, I don't so much mean it as every launch console produced has been broken, but I do feel it's quite a gamble. You do risk possibly being plagued with technical issues and the instances where a console launch is lackluster.
I actually purchased the 360 at launch and never had an issue with it, but I also found myself playing countless hours of Call of Duty 2 and Most Wanted because nothing else could hold my attention. But, that may just be me.
I've been an advocate for backwards compatibility but recently just went and repurchased all the older systems to avoid dealing with potential issues like a limited library and the quirks that come with some conversions.
They were sound investments as I find myself playing my PS2 and NES maybe more than any other system I own. My library of new releases I've purchased (and not just too review) has dwindled greatly since the last generation.
There is a potential for DLC and patches to expand the experience if Epic is willing to put the work into it.
I'm probably 20 hours in and, save for a few glitches I've run into (far from game breaking), it's one of the smoothest BETAs I've enjoyed.
I couldn't get sucked into State of Decay. If base-building had been a lot more in depth (or there had been MP), I probably would have stuck with it a lot longer. Then again, I was stuck playing a mod-less console version.
Well... since it is an online-heavy game, aren't *you* technically the voice of the protagonist?
Mute protagonists don't have to be an issue, but the game does need to have a great cast of supporting characters and a pretty solid story. Dead Space may be one of the best examples of a great mute character. As is GTA III.
I feel like most of what's being griped about pertains to new pieces of technology that have a street date or can be pre-ordered. The mobile phone industry is plagued with stocking and shipping issues. Hell, I waited so long for Google Home to be in stock that I eventually just gave in and went for Echo.
It's also an issue when it comes to high profile footwear, though such a shoe release happens far less often.
As for Big Box stores and employees...
It does look pretty cheap and one review I read said the clamshell feels like a thinner plastic.
This reminds me... I have to keep an eye out for the Metal Gear Solid live concert...
Hurt your your social life? Absolutely. Consider that dead. You will have no more friends lest you find them in Monster Hunter.
I think they switched their business model to mostly mobile and pachinko?
They have MGS Survive coming which... I don't know. After the mess that was MGSV, I may have preferred if it was a unique IP. I feel it will wind up being an unsupported cash grab.
... thank you for reminding me that a Gamefly is a thing! Do you have a referal link? Maybe I can get you a free month since I'm going to sign up anyway.
As for Destiny, I had at least hoped they improved upon the gameplay'to make up for some of the odder choices they were making. That's a bummer.
I was constantly on the edge of my seat while playing Friday the 13th. The unpredictability of whether or not the game was going to crash was about as terrifying as it gets.
Trying to remember back to Until Dawn and the "scariest" part of the game I can recall is in the beginning when a raccoon or whatnot jumps out of a bathroom cabinet. The Wendigo were a little too cartoony. Agreed 100% that Fatal Frame (1 or 2) deserves a spot on lists touting the scariest game...
Makes it really easy when anything they're publishing isn't worth touching :)
I have to assume their idea of the "gaming industry" is Pachinko machines, right?
Ironic praise coming from a company that feels like it's abandoned the industry altogether.
Well... I like the concept of the gameplay, but I'm a little weary that one of their biggest titles (maybe biggest?) is Farming Simulator.
*Edit* Ah, I take that back a little. Didn't realize they were the studio that did MYST.
Did start to feel like they were aiming to go in a very "Saints Row" direction. A lot about DR4 turned me off and I've been waiting for it to make the inevitable drop to $10 so I can at least quell my curiosity.
Have they released *any* info since its reveal.... what... three years ago?
Been a while since I last touched a Monster Hunter game... but World is definitely going to drag me back in whether I want it to or not.
You may only be able to carry hold 999 of the base resources, but *always* keep a back-up supply in your storm shield stash.
