I feel the same if you replace Ridge racer with modnation, and add killzone in there.
I want a return of a few old games, perhaps Killzone 4, but we will need a big new killer app.

Well I don't like call of duty either, my favorite multiplayer was Killzone 2. I really like teambased stuff, but Battlefield 3's maps and vehicles feel boring to me. Maybe its just the whole presentation that doesn't sit well with me. BC2 even seems like it was more interesting, even if it didn't have quite as fleshed out multiplayer. I mean, I've had some fun on BF3...it just feels a little stale to me. Again, I haven't played much though.
I haven't played much, but the game just seems to lack personality to me. Maybe I just need to give it some more time?
The only handhelds that didn't disapoint me in some way were the gb color and the gba.
You might be right about the multiplayer, I got the game a while after it had come out. And I saw that Gears thing and for some reason forgot when I came back to comment. I'll admit I haven't gotten too far into Resistance 3, but I have loved what I have played so far, multiplayer and single player. @MoXxXi It didn't have quite the same presentation as Killzone 2 in my opinion, and the story was annoying, but I thought the level design and gameplay was excellent, and the multiplayer was great. To each to his own I suppose.

Split screen online is a lot of fun for more strategical games like that.
Yeah its pretty hard to decide on what defines a gamer. Do you only have to play a lot of games, or do you have to have interest in a large variety of games and have a large knownledge of video games?
I wouldn't consider somebody who only plays madden and cod a gamer, but I definitely will not call somebody stupid if they buy a system for those two games only. If they want to play cod and madden, why shouldn't they buy the system? This man doesn't have to play the same games as the author if he doesn't want to, so I don't see why he considers him stupid. Pretty judgemental if you ask me.
Because the only reason he recieved that name was so the parents could get free stuff. They care more about free games than the actual name of their kid.

I think this may be damage control. They realized they were going overboard and now they are trying to take it back. Otherwise it is a pretty dumb joke, only makes themselves look bad.
It isn't outstanding, but it isn't a 2.3 either. All those points you mentioned are true criticisms of the game, but it isn't that bad of a game. A lot of people just like to hate cod and they went to these user reviews to trash the game. I don't really like the game, but you can't really believe those review scores are people who actually bought the game. A lot of people I know who bought it really like it.
Eh, I don't know about that. Its looking to be an excellent handheld, but it being the best seems pretty exaggerated.

Adults and teens are the only ones who can enjoy it... it definitely isn't aimed at kids.
Pikmin...I'm not sure why, but I have never played a game that has quite sucked me into its world like that one. I love both of those games, and I bought the wii in full hopes it would deliver pikmin 3, but alas, it did not. The only games I can imagine that grabbed me as much as those two would be banjo kazooie and mario 64.
Edit: @PhantomTommy The gamecube just had the most creative games of any generation in my opinion.
