I would consider a game like metal gear solid to be better than some of the big rpgs I have played, and better worth the price. Of course, you have to look at replayability, I've played through games like metal gear solid or mario 64 several times over.
Sounds to me like this guy didn't like TP. Just because a game is darker and has cusswords doesn't mean it is immature, though we really don't want zelda to go the cussing route. I felt like TP drew me in the most out of any zelda title because of its serious mood, but I like SS style too, there are two different appeals. I actually didn't like wind waker though, the game just looked too cartoony, but SS looks more like an impressionist painting.
How can it be metal gear solid and not take place in the same universe???
What Nintendo needs on the Wii U are some new IPs. I love Zelda and stuff, but I don't understand why some people try to defend Nintendo for their lack of IPs this generation, they really should have come up with something like what pikmin was on the gamecube. Zelda doesn't need to be reinvented though, just needs to be bigger with some nice additions, but the formula is good as it it.
And I'm pretty sure metal gear still didn't start on nes, wasn't it ported there from another system?
I decided to hold off on 4 when this was announced. I haven't played 2 or 3 either.
The final dungeon in the original legend of zelda was confusing. It was twice the size of the next biggest dungeon in the game, but the actual boss fight with Ganon was easy.
@kikizoo I wouldn't say there are a "ton of others" in regards to playstation move titles. Yeah we got medieval moves and scorcery eventually but what else? And other shooters are fun with the move, but not all that innovative or a whole new experience either. I didn't say red steel 2 was better than those shooters, its just an example of how the move should be used, for games that deliver an experience you could not get without motion controls.
Edit: @mcst...
Don't know how the gameplay is just yet, I haven't bought it. I think I might buy it tommorrow at kmart and get the 20 dollar coupon, then use that to buy the mgs hd collection on BF. From what I hear, its the most refined motion control there is on wii though.
What we really need isn't just move support in normal games. They are nice to, but we need more games which utilize move to its full potential, something you could not have done without it. Let me point out a wii title, Red Steel 2. That game was very unique, a mix between swordplay and gunplay very well done, and it just wouldn't have been as fun with a normal controller. Imagine that game with the more accurate ps move, yet there are no games as of yet which really match that experi...
Well i've met people offline who have said they enjoy wind waker, but most of them say they didn't like the art style. I feel that the grittier graphics make the game feel more epic.
@MadMax SS is kind of a mix between realistic and cartoony graphics, not a bad balance if you ask me.
What I don't understand is how some people manage to get more bubbles so quickly. I saw one guy on here with only 30 comments yet five bubbles, and the dude was a troll. Said anyone who plays any rpgs is a faggot. How did he manage to get those bubbles? Do some people make duplicate accounts to vote themselves up?
Sorry to go off topic. Personally, I would like Zelda to incorporate more rpg features into the game like you said. I'm not sure whether I would want Link t...
Funny, I'm picking it up for 2 and 3 alone. I already own Peace Walker and love it, but I've never been able to play the other two. After this, I'll buy the fourth.
No.
Graphics > gameplay right? No. It seems kind of obvious you're just trying to rile people up with a comment like that.
Meh.
I know. But he's been saying its going to come out for five years, and it never has. I'm just hoping he delivers on that this time.
Why are you asking that question then if you know the answer? Besides, 3d doesn't matter much for fighting games, and the Vita may have better online functionality, better graphics, and will be on a larger screen. What do mean by the 3d movie?
Edit: Nevermind about the movie, looked it up.
Yeah five cod games in the past four years compared to five (3D) zelda games in in the past thirteen years. Zelda has had more changes than cod also.
I didn't mean to say I didn't like the game, I meant to say I didn't like the style. Banjo Kazooie has a very different appeal than zelda, I feel like zelda is meant to be an epic adventure, and the cartoonyness made it feel less so. I'm not dissing anyone who liked the style, I just don't like it much myself. Or I just perfer the darker look for a zelda game. If you think it still made it epic, then I guess that's my problem.
