This is a very frustrating matter. I am currently playing Oblivion on my 360 and wishing that they were able to utilize the 360's hard drive to take care of the game's loading and keep areas loaded instead of just fully loading the area right around the character.
Seriously, sandbox games will be so much better if they could just fully utilize the hard drive.
$50 does make a difference. Assuming the Core won't get discontinued this Holiday, you can essentially get a 360 for the same price as a Wii now - $250.
And the premium 360 is $350, now a whole $250 less than the $600 80GB PS3 (since they discontinued the 60GB $500 PS3).
Oh and VGchartz.com sucks when it comes to comparing the console sales. Microsoft announced 360 has nearly 12 million consoles sold worldwide, so VG isn't nearly as close as Nexgenwars.com is.

Neither of them win. Standard DVD will reign supreme for a long time to come.
There is definitely reason to be suspicious about this. With all the big deals with GTA IV tatoos and confirmations of an October 2007 release date, it seems to be something huge that caused it the game to come out now not until Q2 2008. If it was just a little problem, they could have pushed the release to say, November 2007....but Q2 2008 means something big happened.
From that fact that all the trailers shown have been X360 footage and that they even said the PS3 version was about '2 weeks behind' in development from the 360 version, I think that there is room to speculate they were having some troubles with the PS3 version that very well probably caused the delay.
This was definitely expected. I mean, 5 HD-DVD movies and a player for $179.99. Just the 5 movies would cost about $125-ish, so the deal is amazing--still, i think regular DVD will reign over the newer formats for quite awhile, so i'm not jumping into the new technology yet.
So if a developer doesn't give a concrete answer on it then I guess it is safe to assume that the game will be coming to PS3 next year...yeah...that isn't a stretch at all.
Who knows, maybe it will be coming to PS3 in a year or so. The problem is that this article does not have any basis other than over analyzing a vague answer.

Ok, first off on the PS3 side, I wouldn't consider some of those noteworthy PS3 exclusive titles. Second, is your point that quantity is better than quality? And third, here's a better list of the great exclusives 360 is seeing this Holiday:
Halo 3
BioShock
Mass Effect
Blue Dragon
Lost Odyssey
Project Gotham Racing 4
Ace Combat 6
Beautiful Katamari
Eternal Sonata
Naruto: Rise of a Ninja

It is exciting when 4 player co-op is announced for Halo 3 because the Halo series has proven to be catering and entertaining to playing with co-op in the past, so now that H3 is not only XBL co-op, but also 4 players instead of 2, it naturally will make lots of people excited.
Now Haze says it'll have 4 player co-op...ok...well, no one has any idea what kind of experience co-op in Haze will be.

I've never really found OXM's reviews to be completely reliable, but considering that PC Gamer gave BioShock a 95%, i'm confident that BioShock will be awesome :D
Sony at their press conference claimed that Haze and UT3 were PS3 exclusives, but in reality they are 'timed' exclusives (probably both coming to 360 mid-2008). How do we know it isn't the same case for MSG4?
Really only #5 (that many of the consoles are defective) is the only really legit argument there. Of course this is also the biggest issue and is quite unacceptable that an estimated 30+% get the 3RROD...but i don't agree with:
#1 You Have to Pay for Online Service
A: Considering it is an amazing service, why not pay for it?
#2 They use Microsoft Points
A: I guess it is annoying that 80 points = $1...it makes sense though considering most things (...
It makes sense for that fact that more consoles sold = more software sold.
Microsoft has two big first part titles coming out this Holiday: Halo 3 and Mass Effect. Most people are going to most likely buy at least one of those, making a price reduction already practically worth it at that point.
Sales of 360, if this happens, would also skyrocket. If people are scrambling for PS3s as they hit $500 (even though there actually a $500 PS3 before the price cut), im...
Yeah, this game is definitely going to garner a lot of negative attention from the political side of things, but really I don't think it should be faulted considering how disturbingly gory and violent many horror movies are becoming. If the remake of "The Hills Have Eyes" could made it to theatres with only an R rating, I don't see why a game like this can't be M (rather than AO like Manhunt 2).
I'm very excited to hear that the game is the size of San Andreas.
Graphics are sounding good...i just wish they'd release a gameplay video for the public to see.
Less than 4 million PS3s have been sold so far, IDK how they expect to reach 11 that quickly.
i thought...
1. Human Grenades
2. Convenant Grenades
New ones:
3. Spike Grenades
4. Shield
Quite possibly the best game i've seen at E3 so far.
The sheer depth of not only the universe, but the combat, conversations, and more just make this game amazing. Plus the graphics are awesome.
DiRT (at least for 360) is a good racing game but it wasn't quite amazing.
And yeah, especially compared to Forza 2 (and probably because of Forza 2), DiRT didn't do so well in sales.
Fable was a massive disappointment. Sure, it sold extremely well, but that was only because Peter M hyped the game up to be something it wasn't. As of now, the best RPG franchise in my opinion is the Elder Scrolls series...especially Oblivion which was accessible to mainstream gamers as well as hardcore RPG fans.
I don't even think Fable 2 will be as good as PM said Fable 1 would be, but I'm still excited to see what he can do with the next-gen hardware.
