the PS3 sold only 29.6 thousand consoles in the United States last week compared to Xbox 360 selling 122.8 thousand.
The Xbox 360 still has a 7 million console lead on the PS3.
PS3 doesn't even have the Grand Theft Auto hopes since now the franchise is coming out at the same time for both consoles.
All PS3's hope lies with KillZone 2. Anyone who things MGS4 will sell PS3s is crazy. That series has never been mainstream.

Halo 3 has impacted 360 sales more than you think because the percent increase has been increasing for weeks now. If you compare it to last month, then you truly see how much Halo 3 impacted console sales.

The only reason Wii is winning is because of Japan, where it is selling super fast and Xbox 360s are collecting dust on store shelves.

As of this moment, the Xbox 360 is much cheaper than the PS3 and has much better games than the PS3 (lets be honest Sony fans, Heavenly Sword was no killer app)...as long as this keeps up, the 360 will continue to outsell the PS3.
Did anyone else thing that the game didn't look that great in the AI demo video compared to video shown at this year's E3?
I am sorta hoping a KillZone 2 demo comes out when Halo 3 releases...it'll be fun in my opinion just to see the flame wars bursting out across the web, lol.
But in all seriousness, it'll be important for Sony to throw something out there to try to steal some of Halo 3's thunder. With Lair being a big disappointment and Heavenly Sword and Warhawk not quite living up to high expectations, they need something that'll get people excited about PS3.

Lost Odyssey is the Japanese RPG game that is expected to be exceptional - Blue Dragon has been out for awhile in japan, so we all knew it was great but not outstanding.
Again, wait for the better review outlets like GameSpot, IGN, 1up, EG3, GamePro, etc.
A confirmation of this rumor by the publisher of the game would probably be a little clearer...but I don't see the point in releasing it on the PS3 and then just the PC a year later but not the 360... unless Sony paid them not to bring it to Xbox 360 ever.
If Haze is great and exclusive to PS3, its awesome news for PS3 fans, but really 360 owners probably are going to have their FPS palette full this Holiday with Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4.
Warhawk, Lair, and Heavenly Sword at this point all look to be disappointments. Where are the AAA games then? The PS3 still has hope with Haze, but even if it is good it'll be out on 360 next year.
And I don't think the Unreal Tournament game will be a killer app.
First off, you guys need to wait for more reviews to come out before slamming IGN UK...for all you know they may be right that Heavenly Sword is all style and no substance. On the same token, IGN UK could have this completely wrong and HS could be amazing -- so how about we just wait for regular IGN, GameSpot, GamePro, EGM, 1up, and all the other big name game sites to review it.

Honestly at this point I still hold my opinion that the Wii is a gimmick console. All it offers is a fun diversion for when you have a group of friends over and want to play some mini games or Mario Party type games.
People are going to realize that the Wii isn't going to be offering many deep gaming experiences like the other consoles can. Sure it had Zelda, but you could have played that on Gamecube...since then though the Wii hasn't offered much in deep gaming. And we wil...

I'm very happy for BioShock. It is a magnificent game and deserves to be selling well.
I actually was skeptical about how well it'd sell due to its obscurity and lack of multiplayer - but I'm sure the demo and reviews were enough to get people to go out and pick the game up.
It is only one review, so it hardly makes a defining statement as to the quality of the game. That said, a 6.5/10 is definitely not a good start for such an anticipated game...
More reasons for PS3 owners to say that 2008 will be PS3 domination year. Still it all just seems too little too late.
By then you can get GTAIV and Halo 3 on 360, the top franchises at the moment only on one console.
