Well, I can completely disagree on two points you make (since it's pretty hard to say your opinion isn't valid, because it is).
1.) DVD has completely and utterly shown its limits. It's actually pretty rediculous to say otherwise
2.) I don't know how some people can ignore the fact that sony's first party titles completely blow away the competition visually. I understand that the 360's multiplatform games tend (or should I say USED to) run a little better. Howe...
godd*mnit MS show something that completely sets your system in a different league than the competition. Here's to hoping for E3.
man, if co-op somehow effects the single player negatively i am going to freak out. The first game was so completely awesome it isnt even funny and if this game is effected negatively because of a vocal whiny minority its really going to piss me off.
@ fishy...
it will effect SP though. Resources are always limited and adding any sort of MP will effect the quality of the single player.
I love ND for deciding to stay focused on the SP campaign. Uncharted is stil my favorite SP campaign this gen and their focus on the U2's sp couldnt make me happier.
This has everything to do with the install base. Both the 360's and the ps3's install base is too close to justify the extra money to spend on R&D for the PS3.
The 3rd party developers are just porting the best they can to the ps3 for a cheap buck. This is even more evident when you look at first party exclusives for the ps3. They blow everything except Resident Evil 5 (they have a great engine but its still not up to par with many exclusives) out of the water.
...
umm he is right you know? There was plenty of slight screen tearing and texture pop-in. Dont be a tool and admit it.
well, if he is to be believed it would be hardware related. PSP2 would be shown along with a ps3 price cut.
We will have to wait and see.
I love that idea but it wont happen.
But the first two god of wars on bluray and a kratos figurine will do just fine.
Well, I am more interested in inFamous. I have said it once and i will say it again, action games live and die by the story.
yeah, i wish people would try out both games and decide then, but alas that's not how the online gaming community functions.
this is N4g... where titles mean everything and articles go to die.
Well said. I second this...
There are some pretty insane people in this thread.
From people saying that the ps3 and 360 are about equal
to people saying Resistance looks better than gears...
Where the h*ll do you people come from.
So because this one random journalist lost interest in the game the entire system has failed? Narcissism at its best.
actually if those came out this year that would be huge. I think the only game to have a chance of coming out this year is either splinter cell or alan wake.
Forza 3 will try to compete with GT5 and get completely crushed... at least sales wise.
Wait until E3. If there arent any other games than Halo for '09 then yes. I wouldnt be surprised to see Alan Wake make an appearance this winter. If that game turns out good then the 360 exclusive owners could have enough exclusive content to brag about...
However, the ps3 will always have more exclusives due to the internal studios they have.
Well, if you think its possible to have 256 players on P2P servers there is something seriously wrong with you. So yes, its not possible on the 360. Is it because of the hardware? No. Is it because of the server architecture that MS decides to have? Yes.
Exactly... at least sony has new exclusives to actually talk about...
Whats interesting about this for console owners is this is about what to expect for next gen's RPG's (At least at the beginning of the life cycle)
I want to know how long InFamous will be. Very "interested" in this. As for MAG, there are no questions i can ask that can be answered I am just going to have to play it for myself and decide whether 256 people in a server can be fun at all.
