Why is no one excited about this?!?!? Seriously, this will be one of the only remembered next-gen open world games. There is sparse enough detail to make this world HUGE and not only that but make it enjoyable. A coherent world that allows for a desert to be cool will go a very long way this generation.

If they are going to stick to their word and not release consoles for a few years (possibly longer) then they would be two steps ahead of the next wii and be able to sell their consoles for cheaper. If they want to go for the casual market they have a lot of work to do...
I am afraid that because of the economy it will slow MS and Sony from releasing new consoles. If this is the case expect them to have waggle controllers and systems for 150 bucks for a few years.

My guess is a 7 or 8, which btw is a pretty good score. The ps fanboys will have a field day but who really cares. This game looks to be pretty awesome and long enough to warrant a purchase.

Its an open world game... you can be as destructful as you want. Prototype may sell better due to it being on multiple consoles.
They have actually been pretty brutal on some PS exclusive games. This is a good score no matter the influence.
Well, just judging from the video, the pop-in is really bad and there is some screen-tearing. Probably an early build. but thats my only complaints. The game looks jam packed full of stuff and the ability to climb anything is awesome.
The pop-in is horrendous. End of story. I doubt the final game will look like this.
Oh and I am pretty excited about this game. I think it look like a lot of fun and has tons of atmosphere. I loved Crackdown but the climbing mechanics didnt work that well.
We will see on Friday though. I will post my impressions of the demo.

We shall see. I watched an 11 minute video today and the pop-in was quite rediculous at times. I dont know what build it was but the cars would just pop-in. It was pretty bad.

Why dis.... this is the best looking sandbox game I have ever seen.
i guess i dont know of any other sandbox game out there that looks nearly as good as this.
