well this is good news for people that havent bought a console yet. The 60 gig at 499 is a good price, no matter what anyone says. I wonder if they will cut the price again during the holiday season, even 50 bucks would be good.

you both have different points, and both are good. Naughty dog knows how much they use, according their experience. They dont have the tools to know how powerful the ps3 is, and therefore is a guess upon their experience. The power statement is a guess, however as lVlemphizStylez says they arent lazy they are still learning the hardware of the ps3... see how you two were talking about different points and yet both were valid and good?
well, this is their first title on the ps3. the 360 doesnt use all of its power and its in the second year. I mean come on, they need to put out a game. they developed many tools on their own, worked really hard and now its time to put the game out; even if it doesnt use 100% of a console.
do you hate MS ppl too? Just because people are learning about games for the ps3 doesnt mean they only like the ps3. I hate people that are so loyal to brand, especially MS or Sony that they hate people for it.

Bluray is a lot more reliable than a standard dvd, and i mean A LOT. So in this one case, i have to disagree with you about that.

How do they know what they are reaching if they do not know what 100% looks like? Its a guess, and a pretty shoddy one at that. On a side note this game looks SWEET!

I am pretty sure a retailer wouldnt take a $100 hit on every console they sold, there is no way. Sony is being very quite about this. If there is a 150 to 200 price drop like aiphanes was guessing that would send a lot of people to the store.
well, i guess i dont really like getting up and changing a disc. However, if i had to I would. I understand what you two are talking about, but why do it if we dont need to? However, with compressing techniques i dont see why it couldnt.
However, I do have a question. When a developer compresses information does it effect the quality of the video?

i hope they dont stop making the 360, they just need to fix the design flaws. Is it too late to do so? I dont know, I dont understand the manufacturing process well enough to speculate what would cost more. However, I will anyway :), I think its a little late to change the manufacturing which is why they went with the extended warranty. However, thats only for the rings of death. My broken dvd drive isnt covered and therefore I wait until it either gets a lot cheaper or they fix the proble...
I had a 360 until wednesday, then the dvd drive broke on it. Since it was a little over a year old I dont have the warranty anymore. This pisses me off! I am not going to buy another 360 until they fix this pos thats sitting in my livingroom. at least i have a wii and ps3 that still work...

well i guess, the 100 bucks off of the 60 gig is a good deal. However, the 80 gig is a bit expensive. However, we shall see how the 80 gig is received, if it is received very well we will see the price of the 60 fall quicker, if it is received poorly then it may share the fate of the 20 gig. Only time will tell
btw I like the idea of bringing back the 20 gig for dirt cheap, they should add wifi though.
