why would ms have the best software lineup? all they have this year is mass effect and halo 3... all the rest are multiplaform games.

well put sir. I think people forget that color and lighting have a lot to do with mood. What mood do you want your players to be in? DO you want to make this seem like hell and you gotta fight your way out of it? Do you want to put more emphasis on the enemies? It all depends on the art direction. anyway good post.
oh oh!!! I know the answer!! Because 1, Its pre-alpha. 2. The amount of stuff going on at the same time blows anything youve see out of the water. 3. You dont know what gameplay is gonna be like.
So yes... the final build of this game is gonna own anything you will see for some time, at least graphically. Gameplay wise, it sounds good.
Oh and the MS conference... it was boring. Admit it. Halo 3 and mass effect are the only games coming to that system this y...

Anyone that doesnt think that is better than gears is a frickin idiot. I love gears of war and its a great game to play, but in the end this game is gonna blow it out of the water. And all of those worried about gameplay... do you know what happens to your game if there area fully destructable environments? It means your cover has to be great... it means you can kill people through plaster walls... gameplay will be different and awesome just because of this...
overall it was a weak showing... COD:4 was the best looking game there. AC had a million glitches, and halo3 did look better, but not leaps and bounds... and i have it downloaded on my computer and also have a 61" monitor to look at.
The biggest news of this conference was that MS got an exclusive beta... COD. It was very weak and actually the only time my heart started to really pump was when the announced resident evil... and only because i actually thought it was MG...
i think this was the best info that MS had for the press conference... this game looks amazing... it showed best out of all others there. AC had a glitch every two feet and halo3... well that looked good too
ok i just downloaded the hd version on my 61". It looks better than the multiplayer thats for sure. It still doesnt look nearly as good as COD:4 and Assassins creed. THATS JUST MY OPINION! It looks amazing though and I cant wait till september!

lol I am not impressed at all. Textures are terrible, period. If this is pre pre alpha build and thats what they will be showing tonight then what the hell have they been doing for 2 yrs and 20 million dollars? Either this is just an old screenshot, or they are gonna get plastered by the press and gamers.

yeah, i abhore most media becuase they just ride fads until they die and then move onto the next like a g-dam!ed virus. Because of the 100 dollar price cut suddenly the ps3 was saved. Well, i dont know if this is true or not, but i can say one thing: that tomorrow the media will focus its attack on something else. A bunch of slimy leeches.

the art direction in Halo is completely different than it is in killzone. The colors of halo could be in this game, but then it wouldnt be the same game.
On another note, this game seems to be becoming a beast. I fully expect that by the time this game is finalized it will look better than the trailer. We are still some 8 months off and it looks this good so.... yeah. Also the gameplay seems to be shaping up nicely. I like how they are scratching the HUD and bringing war...
