Well MS is going to have a mediocre year and will sell even less then they did in 2007. Yes they will be the only surviving console to sell less each year of its existence.
As for all of the sony fanboys in here, the PS3 had a very mediocre 2007 and I am sure it will have another, so yeah... 2008 looks awesome (possibly the best in console history) but there is no need to flame. It will only come back to haunt you.

well i dont know about the blutooth... ms would have to open the 360 up, which would actually have them lose money. There are too many a$$hats at the moment willing to buy rediculously priced proprietary gear from MS. Thanks guys!

Resolution depends on 2 things... screen size and viewing distance. I have a 61" 1080p tv. I would never buy this Ultra unless I was getting a screen about 90", it would be a HUGE waste of money.
if it comes to the 360 (and I am not saying it will or it wont) it would be a year or 2 down the road. A more likely scenario is that it would be made for the next xbox. It definitely wont come out 3 months after its release on the ps3. MGS will sell a few million copies in 2008 on the ps3. You can also expect at least a few hundred thousand consoles worldwide to be sold due to this game.

you think the ps3 is going to be £300 in 2 years? I betcha the ps3 drops 100 bucks in price this year to 299 and 399. In '09 it will drop by at least 50 bucks...
We will start to see the emergence of SOE late this year. The year they will really shine is 2009. I cant wait for the PS4 when all this stuff is already implimented out of the box! It seems that the PS3 is a transition phase and a dam good one at that!
Think of bluray as the biggest exclusive of this console generation. It will sell more units than any game will. If bluray won, the PS3 won. The equation was as simple as that. When people move to HD in the next 2 years what do you suppose they are going to get? A cheap bluray player that their kids can play games on or a standalone? They certainly wont be getting a 360 for their HD needs.

How many people originally bought a ps2 for a cheap DVD player? Although I know people buy it for a bluray player they also become possible buyers of video games.
