I THINK EVERYONE needs to realize that RESISTANCE was a LAUNCH title. It was one of the BEST launch titles ever produced. It, as a launch title, was simply fantastic there is NO denying this.
There are 3 or 4 different classes and each class will have different objectives but all will lead to an outcome... defeating your enemy. it also depends on the game what your objectives are.
But anyway classes and class objectives will help Insomniac bring meaning to a 60 player match.

I played it 3 times through and really enjoyed it which is ALL that matters. GOOD and not GREAT?? Good is good enough for me.

meh, I wont get into what games are "better" but it is refreshing to hear something about a new game in the works, I hope they announce more new stuff about Resistance too.
What I really dont understand is why they didnt show an in-game trailer of GeoW2. I hope it comes out in time :/
Yeah yesterdays demo was a tech demo of the UE3 engine, not Gears of War. They just used it for hype...

Not for a standalone. However, it can now be considered a safe investment instead of a risk. It makes the price way way more endurable.

I hope they have much more expansive environments, more enemies, and more co-op features. Hopefully they have dedicated servers! PLEASE!
