the pc version i downloaded on steam looked really good, sadly, the gameplay was....mehh

part 2 is the best in the series so far for me, then part one, then 3.
the game is going to look a full generation ahead of the 360 version which was only 540p, covered in jaggies and suffered from slowdown in many areas and had loads of low res textures. i still loved it, but like all rare games that are not on pc, i kept thinking how much better it could look in actual HD.
pc games in 2007 leapt a full generation beyond ps3/360 with crysis, consoles have yet to make a game that looks near crysis 1 max settings and may not even be able to next ge...

hopefully not, i always look to the "cgi" cutscenes as what can be in gaming, where the next level is, the benchmark for games to come.

in-engine cutscenes suck on most console games, unreal 3 engine cutscenes on console are so poopy looking.
the next xbox is coming out in 2012, less than 10 months from now. i don't know how people honestly think the 360, which is going into 7 years on the market, is going to go into it's 8th year.

please, they've had actual nextbox specs at epic for over a year, the new 360 will be out in less than 10 months!
EA, Crytek, 2k, rockstar, bioware, bethesda and many more all have had actual specs for the next gen xbox for a while, its not like they need the unit itself, just roundabout numbers on throughput, all games are made on a pc anyway.
it lags and has a very poor framerate in spots on the 360 too, my little brother got for xbox and he says it runs terrible in some spots, i know its not as bad as ps3 but it's bad from what he says.

blizzard games are better than 99.5% of the trash that comes out every week, sequel after sequel of fps and third person action, all the same crap. whats the difference between uncharted and gears, not much besides graphics, halo and killzone and resistance, played one, played 'em all.
starcraft 2 is the deepest mainstream multiplayer game on the planet imo. things like eve online may be a bit more complex, and europa universalis, lol, that game has not a learning curve...
the first one is the only one that looked decent, I think they should go for a simplistic design and keep the controller the same. make sure to make the case large enough to allow for good airflow and proper cooling.
plus plenty of room for at least 4gb ram, a 1gb video card and a nice, powerful quad core, (i7-920 or better) at least 4x the ps3's cpu.

the thing is, for me, long games (over 25 hours) i don't really need any dlc o9f any kind, let alone one i need to buy action figures for, i rarely finish the base game. i was bored with mass effect 2 before the very end and stopped on the reaper ship, i assume the game was almost over, but i was bored and went on to play a new game.

i cannot understand how anyone wouldn't want new consoles.
the horrible performance in games like skyrim, dead island, dark souls and many others is motivation enough for me to be ready, unless a game is exclusive to a platform i buy it on pc without question as i know it will be far and away the superior version...
