The reasoning behind my statement is obvious, there are no new consoles yet, there were none in 2011....that alone is a GIGANTIC red flag.

The Witcher 2 stood high above all other games of 2011 by far...
BF3 (on pc only, console version was BAD) is the best multiplayer game since bf2, but cannot even compare to the care and devotion, and CRAFT that went into making the witcher 2

I agree with some of what you said, hence the agree i gave you, but, where i do NOT agree is a huge tower pc can, and most certainly SHOULD be connected to the best and biggest tv you have in the house if at all possible! In my case, a 55" Samsung mounted over my fireplace.

anything they ass to the engine would make the game 30 frames, and they like having 60 frames as a selling point

there has benn no focus on graphics on consoles since uncharted 2, since no console game since has look as good, consoles peaked with uncharted 2, until new ones come out, graphics are the least thing they can focus on, since the consoles are not capable of anything beyond uncharted 2, in fact games are starting to look worse, like uncharted 3, not even close to uncharted 2.
the free pc version (if you own the original ps2 game) on PCSX2 Emulator (version .9.9.5) is by far still the best.
my pc version is 1080p at 60 frames with high anti aliasing and zero jaggies
console "hd" is only 720p at variable below 60 with jaggies

the pc version, that is free if you own the original looks WAY better than the 72...
pcsx2 is the answer, for me at least, i like ps2 games better than 98% of all ps3 or 360 games, the only games that come close to my favoritve ps2 games are demons souls, dark souls, mgs4 and uncharted 2.
seriously, those 4 games, thats it.
ps2 games like champions of norrath, baldurs gate 1 and 2, persona, nocturne, kingdom hearts, dmc 1 and 3, onimusha 1,2,3, shining force, ffx, ffxii, trapt, so many i cannot even list them all.

the ps3 and 360 cannot handle the game, i have seen it running on a friends 360 who is over 50 hours in and it chuggs, stutters and lags like crazy, every time he turns the game hangs, when entering rooms, there is lag and texture artifacting.

Bioware are very competent devs, though I think their best work was long, long ago.
Baldurs Gate 2 Shadow of Amn was the pinnicle of biowares development abilities, they have yet to come even close to make a game of such epic and well crafted proportions.
The game as it stands currently runs at 20-30 frames per second on console and still exhibits jaggies and pop-in in a low resolution, so adding anything beyond what is in it would cause further framerate issues.
Consoles are capped out, devs are milking every last bit of juice from them, but I think around the time uncharted 2 came out (october 2009) we saw the limit of what could be achieved this gen on consoles.
