I kinda liked the first RE movie, but honestly, the only two video game movies that were good movies, beyond my likeing the franchise, just genuinely good movies imo were Silent Hill and Hitman, I thought both were good movies, not great, not epic or perfect, but good movies.
GTA V will not come out this year and WILL for sure be a next gen title, gtaiv looked terrible on console, it was 1024x600p, or some really low resolution, ran at 20 frames most of the time and was smothered in jaggies, the xbox 360 and ps3 could not even handle that ugly mess, why on earth would you want the next gta to be on the same 8 year old hardware?

current consoles should have a lot more 2d games in 1080p with creative mechanics, more games with static backrounds like onimusha (which, to this day looks better than some of those ugly, console games in sub-hd with the unreal engine). They cannot handle true 3d enviroments in 1080p obviously, thats why 95% of games are 720p or much less, and even then, the framerates suck and their are jaggies everywhere, i like a clean polished look, scale back the graphics a bit, stop trying to compete w...
its going to happen whether we like it or not, consoles always follow a few years behind what pc is doing, this is the norm on pc, put in your game, enter the code, there you go, what they will have to do though is allow for installs on up to "x" amount of systems, i myself own two ps3's, on for the the plasma downstairs, one for the samsung led upstairs, i certainly will not be buying two games,

The tech looks cool, but i like seeing amazing actual gameplay like those hawken videos......bad-ass mechs in a futuristic world, consider me sold, thought it was just vaporware but.....

If you bought Battlefield 3 for console, I feel sorry for you, low-res, 704p and tiny maps with 12v12 multiplayer at 15-25 frames per second.
This is a pc game, make no mistake, playing it on console is like playing uncharted 2 on a gameboy color.
for me it's easy;
best ps3 game- demons souls, hands down
best 360 game- mass effect 1, err...not to be a dick, there are not many exclusive 360 games, , i didnt really like gears, hate sports games and racing and halo just looks so low res and jaggie, when the new xbox comes out in 9 months and halo 4 launches, i'll be all about halo again, this gen was a diappointment there for me)
best recent pc game- the witcher 2/starcraft 2 (...
the ps4 will be out in a 14 months-year or less (if we get lucky), mights as well just wait and have jak be 1080p, 60 frames, no jaggies and uber high res textures, i'd rather have that than a ratchet look-a-like, not that those games look bad, they just don't look amazing.

we needed new consoles in 2011, i dont even touch mine except ps3 for blura, and i played all of dark souls, 5 hours of gears 3 (got bored and did maybe 3 of multi) and maybe 7 hours of uncharted 3, other than that, 2011 saw me not even using my old consoles,
why? - steam is so much better on all fronts, forums, clans, groups, cross chat while multi-tasking, screenshot sharing, constant updates, free betas, demos, mods, dedi servers, crazy sales, better prices that console...

alan wake looked ok for a console game, it was 540p and it had loads of low res textures, i'm sure the pc version will look great, but it will have nothing on the pc big hitters, no console games are even within a generation of the first crysis from 2007, let alone newer pc games.
next gen console games won't look nearly as good as cryengine 3 on pc, or arma 2, or hard reset, or the witcher 2, or bf3, or x3, or ....
i do the opposite, i play all my pc games connected to a 55" samsung led, with a 5.1 surround sounds setup, wireless kb/m in a huge, double leather recliner.
i play all my console games on a 24" monitor (hp24--) glossy screen.
my reasoning-
console games have tons of jaggies and artifacts and are sub hd, this is minimized by the smallest screen possible that i own, my pc games run at a beautiful 60 frames per second in true 10...
