SOTC was a timeless masterpiece TLG is not. With SOTC everything was perfect, music, art design, story, and gameplay. With TLG it doesn't grab me. Its boring and has incredible technical issues. SOTC had framerate issues also but the game was so good i didn't notice nor care. With TLG every time I get into it something pulls it down like frustrating gameplay, terrible controls, framerate issues exc. I'm halfway through and do not have any motivation to return to it. With SOTC I pl...

Its one of the best selling PS exclusives. Its def being developed as we speak. Other than that I want a first person Kings Field successor with Dark Souls sensibilities and design in an open world like similar to Skyrim. I want something fresh that blows me away with secrets, deep lore, and beautiful gothic/dark fantasy locations.

I would also be fine with a new Souls every year rotated between Demons, Dark, and Bloodbourne but if they're burnt out they should skip a ...

True but digital has benefits. I always hated digital games for all the reasons listed and still prefer physical for certain games I want to collect but I went all digital on Xbox One. I like knowing my collection is all there to be browsed without changing disks and having shelves full of games everywhere. I can migrate my library to Scorpio, exclusives also get a free unlock of the game on PC and more benefits. Steam is the same way.

There are stories of games being pulle...

Quantum Break, Uncharted 4, or Dark Souls 3 for me. Loved them all equally.

FF15, Recore, Forza Horizon 3, Gears 4, FE Fates, and TLG were all close compitition though. It was an exceptionally good year. Next year looks even better with the Switch/Scorpio launch and more games in the first few months than I can even keep track of. I'm going to be so damn broke.

Honorable mention goes to the Nioh alpha. I played that for longer than most AAA games. It...

Two of the best games I have ever played. The linearity worked for QB since it was so story focused. It felt perfectly paced and I never got bored nor did the game overstay its welcome. Prob the best time travel/sci-fi game IMO. The ending was so damn good which I won't get into but I think a lot of people didn't really get it from the internet boards I've been on. Really well thought out and I loved the live episodes. I was even dissapointed there weren't more (this coming fr...

Looks fairly bland and boring. Not sure why they changed from a SRPG to a by the numbers hack n slash. I will skip unless it gets 9-10's across the board. A SRPG would've been day 1 for sure.

Resonance of Fate, Tales of Vesperia, and Nier are the only games I care about left to add. I would buy a slim for these three as my 360 is dead. Wish they would be added to Steam tbh. No idea why they haven't.

Yes and no. As a handheld its amazing and frankly the idea of it is what the WiiU should've been. Its the inevitable evolution of tablets, handhelds, and consoles (until we enter streaming as a main means of consumption). Look at the 3ds which has a killer library and then look at Skyrim on this thing. Imagine the games it will get and how much better than the 3ds they will be. Its amazing.

Then again as a console it blows. Its last gen for sure. The competition is movi...

DKS3, Uncharted 4, Quantum Break, Gears 4, FF15, Fire Emblem Fates, Forza Horizon 3, and one of my personal favorites Recore were all GOTY worthy IMO. Those are just the ones I remember off the top of my head.

I will say DKS3 was the one I played the most. The hype was so unbearable even Shia Labeouf lost his mind waiting on it to drop. I ordered the digital version just so I could play it while waiting for my collectors edition. Seeing Anor Londo again and Firelink gave m...

Totally agree. Gamers should get a second job so they can afford Nintendo's mobile games.

Lol. Ok Nintendo. Splatoon, TMS, and Wonderful 101 don't compete against TLoU, Horizon, Bloodbourne, Days Gone, TLG, and the dozen other new ip's on ps4 not to mention established ip's. All on vastly superior hardware. I enjoyed them but that's one game a year I want for your system. Its two a month on ps4.

You give us "innovation" nobody asked for. Controlling Link with a stylus isn't innovation and neither is dual screens on the WiiU a decade...

Nomura should start his own studio for Sony along with Sakaguchi. All these talented developers with vision tied up in horrible studios that stifle their creative vision. Sakaguchi can't even get big budget games funded despite arguably creating the two best jrpgs last generation. Nomura's vision for VS13 looked better than anything square has made in a decade. One day they will hit kickstarter or move on to Sony.

It will still be the most powerful handheld and it will get amazing support from Nintendo since they are dropping out of the console rat race. Japan will support it also. The only thing it won't get is western support and why would anyone buy third party games on this over a 4k ps4 or Scorpio? Or a pc where I buy everything? People are wrong to look at this as a console because it's not. It's a handheld that can display on a tv. It looks dope and stuff like Dark Souls 3, Xenoblade...

Separating everyone into groups, races, I'm this and your that and focusing on differences propagates division and is the antithesis of progress. Nobody cares that your a mirority, majority, worship the flying spegethii monster, like dudes di**s or chicks. You are singling yourself out as different and seperating yourself from society. People are people and if you identified as such (a person) people would see the similarities instead of the differences that you think define you instead o...

I wasn't happy because mine lasts 3 hours max. That's for a controller with no screen or wifi. Its horrible. My WiiU tablet lasts 7 hours. 7 is amazing for a portable but I have the optional better battery. For Switch I expect 3 hours maybe? The Shield Portable had great battery life but it was really premium and bulky. The GPD Win pushing 720p games like Skyrim, Dragon Age, Fallout 3, or Valkyria Chronicles gets about 2-3 hours if the game is taxing. For me its no biggie since I will...

If you have a PC you have every reason to get an xbox. All xbox exclusives work on both so pc for one room xbox for another. Not to mention BC for titles like Red Dead, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon exc. Throw in 4k Bluray player and its a killer package IMO. Sure waiting for Scorpio would be ok but it will be twice as much.

Its a mixed bag for sure. It has the most frustrating controls I've ever used and on an OG PS4 the framerate hits 15-20 a lot of the time. Its a technical mess and I was either in awe of the beauty and awesome bird doggy or ready to throw the controller out the window. Objectively I would say 6.5 halfway through the game. I played Ico and SOTC at launch and I have waited a decade for this game. I hope the ending saves it so it goes out on a memorable note.

Absolutely adored this game. Between Recore, Quantum Break, Uncharted 4, Gears 4, The Last Guardian, FF15, and Dark Souls 3 It was a very memorable year. Recore was a totally new yet nostalgic experience. It really harkened back to Metroid Prime. I really hope it gets to continue as a series. It had some flaws due to budget and development time but it was still of the best games I've ever played. Pure gaming bliss.

Sony doesn't care about sales. This was just a preemptive strike in case VR took off like the wii did. Pascal and Polaris scared them, they saw gamers building a pc that does VR and maxes out games for nearly the same price as ps4. This was just to keep folks from jumping into pc gaming.

That's also why they haven't and most likely won't support psvr with anything of note. They will let small Indy like experiences fill the library because ps4 is their focus...
