I like both but there's no way I would want a vita over a 3ds. Vita is a killer console but without games what's the point? It's for the casual mainstream gamer who wants a COD, AC, GOW, and more of the usual games on the go. Sure there's a good game like P4 and Gravity Rush here and there but all the good franchises are on the 3ds.

I agree. I hate retro for the sake of it. Make some game with mediocre gameplay but make it look retro and people hype it and get excited. Not saying this game is one of those and the style fits for certain games but I'm not interested in paying 10 dollars for a 2013 release that's made with NES assets or graphics. I also hate when big publishers release a modern game in a classic series like megaman 9/10. It's not that the game is bad but honestly I can't get excited about it...
The other m was f'n spectacular. Loved the mix of 2d and 3d, loved the combat, loved the story, loved the game period. It could've used a normal controller though. This game rocks. I think it got lost in the shuffle behind Xenoblade and The Last Story. People have forgotten about it now since its been a year since the other two released and many people expected a rpg which this isn't. Castlevania meets SOTC is a very fitting name actually. Has those great designed Metroidvania levels with beautiful art direction, minimalist cast and story, and bad ass bosses that are a puzzle in themselves. This will become a cult classic for sure.

Of course they do. They're the only gaming company in the position to do so as they're old as sin (in gaming years) and they're the only company who has franchises that stood the test of time from 30 years ago until now with few releases and high quality. It's why SSB works and why PS All Stars fell flat. It's why Mario Kart works and playing every game reminds nearly every gamer of their childhood. All future gamers grow up on Nintendo, its just how it is.

Remake FF6 for 3ds but keep it with sprites not the 3d FF3/4 3d graphics.

I'm interested to see what can happen with Netflix like gaming services and movie/tv subs on consoles but I will buy a console based purely on games. All those services should be an extra or on all devices to really be something big.
