Japan likes handhelds coupled with the fact Japanese people don't generally buy foreign products. Even when the 360 had a dozen exclusive jrpgs and was cheaper than the ps3 by a large margin it still sold horribly. There was absolutely nothing ms could have done, even if Sony and Nintendo went bust ms consoles would still fail. Japan doesn't want a us console. Now a handheld might work out but prob not.
Loved this on the GameCube back in the day. Only problem was the stupid ass story of following behind the fellowship with knock off characters and there were no npcs and towns in the game (at least as far as I played it). The gameplay, graphics, and the balrog fight were all amazing though. I'd love a real LOTR jrpg with a new story set in an earlier age like how kotor was a prequel. Even a jrpg in the classic Tolkien-esk setting would rock for sure.

GameStop is needed. They keep old games in rotation and keep costs down. Look at when they stopped selling gamecube games. Until then the games were readily available in any GameStop for dirt cheap. Afterwords they quadrupled in price and have to bought on ebay or amazon for outrageous prices because you can't get them anywhere. Used game shops are a great thing for us gamers whether you like GameStop or not.

Prob is Insomniac only received hype from PS fanboys who now either hate insomniac or have total indifference. I never liked any insomniac games other than resistance and only R3 was a great game. I'm a 3ds owner and I wouldn't have felt alienated nor would anyone I know. We all wanted them to add a second circle pad to the xl and just keep the regular one as is. All that's needed is different control options like RE Revelation did so that a second pad isn't needed. For those that want it buy a cpp or an xl.

I'm in the same boat zero. Will buy when games i want hit. Waiting for SMT x Fire Emblem, Xenoblade 2, Metroid, or a few other key franchises. I bought vita day 1 and while there's always a good game or two at launch (uncharted and ninja gaiden) the only game I couldn't miss has been Persona 4, a port. Had the free collection that came with the us GameCube. Stupidly sold the game for whatever couple dollars I got with all my GameCube games. On the bright side I bought back most of the GameCube titles I sold although I paid a pretty penny for some. Moral of the story is dont sell your games because you may miss them down the road.

Yes you made the best choice anyone has made since Ray J decided to bring a camera. Kid Icarus Uprising is one of Nintendo's best games ever IMO. It's flying sections are just as fun plus you get a bajillion bosses and ground sections. Games is amazing and super long. Hope you enjoy it.
