Because MS is notorious for inflating numbers.
They gave far less "XBOX" MAU than Playstation has.
They simply add everything they can to increase that number (PC, mobile...)
They wouldn't have the right to do that either.

Microsoft, just focus on making MORE and BETTER games. That's literally all you have to do to beat Sony but you've been incapable of doing that for at least 15 years. Throwing your money out the window won't solve anything.

Sony is obviously DISAPPOINTED by the sales otherwise they would have released the numbers like they do for all the exclusives that do well. It means that the game sold less than the first one.
Same situation with TLOU.
The game sold WELL for US but business wise, fell short of Sony's expectations.

Unfortunately, no one knows how much Horizon FW sold.

That probably means that the game underperformed vs Sony's high standards.
If the game had been successful (it was, but not as much as Sony hoped), they would've annouced it.
Same problem with TLOU Part II, the game underperformed so they never commented its sales.
It's a shame Horizon disappeared from the radar.

Nintendo exists in its own space and is not competing with the other 2. Nintendo's target demographic is way too different from the rest. Sony and MS target demographics nearly perfectly overlap. That's why 85% of the games on both platforms are identical.
