Why there is so much more to a few free games, your own virtual apartment and stores etc.
Maybe if you can enlighten everyone as to why they will still be thinking home is 'awesome' after a few weeks it will change their opinion.
Personally I owe a PS3 and a 360 and sold my boring wii and I just cannot see what the fuss is about with home.

When I entered the serial and product id of my other xbox which is an arcade machine, hardly ever used, it only offered me a 20 gig hard drive for 29.99 with 3 months of xbox live.
The Arcade version comes with a 256 meg memory unit so that explains why the 512 meg memory unit is not offered but, the hard drive price is still off.

The game is excellent, who cares if the ps3 version doesn't look quite as nice as our 360 version - play it for what it is.
There will be games made for the ps3 that might look better on it than on the 360 and it wont matter. As long as they play the same and offer fun then you wont need to stop and gape at the images and try to nit pick.

The whole thing as a whole is Excellent.
But I decided to give Mass Effect a try and even though its more of an action RPG, last night I logged my 60th REAL TIME hour in the game.
I know there are people that have played it a lot more than I have and I'm only 1/2 way through my second time through on hardcore but I have to admit, the game is just phenomenal and I cannot wait for Mass Effect 2 - its probably my most wanted game outside of GOW2

Achievements give you a much better sense of accomplishment than some trophies.

Game Stop bought EB a long time ago, you must have a real small town or something if they haven't changed their logo's yet. I also live in Illinois, burbs of Chicago and not on EB games is called EB any longer, they all have Game Stop Signs outside of the store.

Gears-1 was 2 person co-op, not 4 and that worked out perfectly.
In my opinion 8 person co-op will ruin the story mode campaign unless its incredibly hard to beat and incredibly long.
8 people will fly through that campaign in no time and thus make it a short game with no replay value wise on campaign mode.
Sure there will be online multi player but a lot of people like to work with a friend on campaign.
just take any maps etc on ghost recon...
To be honest, I don't know why every race fan in england didnt buy PGR4 - it was an excellent game - I say WAS because Grid is now out.
I held on to mine for 6 or 7 months and after renting numerous games and buying a couple I sold it.
The only thing That excited me about it was wii boxing with my neighbors when we had been drinking and he blue light that glowed telling me something had happened - outside of that I actually found it to be a very boring system.
To each their own though.
How about we get the European figures for the game, I mean, after all, Sony just announced that they have sold more ps3's in europe than the xbox360 so, why doesnt the poster base it on that.

So your 'sources' have both copies of the game already and have ran them side by side at the same resolution etc to qualify the 'far more superior' verbiage in regards to the PS# - right. sure.
As for the hard-drive issue and 'pop' issue - remember the majority of people that own xbox360's with a hard drive probably out number the ones that don't have a hard drive. so, this will effect less people than you think. Also, the DVD drive can display things far quicker than the blu-ray...
The european box implies that this has some form of co-op mode online.
Can anyone confirm if 2 different boxes can hook up and play captain your country or anything else online or whether the only online mode is the 1 v's 1

I don't think there is anything 'virtual' about this - A virtual drive is when your emulating some form of drive whether its a hard drive, a floppy, dvd etc.
Here the whole games i just getting offloaded from the disc to the hard drive and is running directly from the drive.
The disc remains in the slot to verify you own the game but, its not 'mounting' the dvd, its physically ripping a copy from it and running that ripped copy from the hard drive opposed to the DVD....
