For all we know the game will have parry's and so fireballs will become worthless. Anyway in many cases characters with fireballs have them to make up for other weaknesses (Ryu the asshole not included) so if you take the fireball away from them they become worthless.
It sounds like you just have a personal problem getting around it.
Lol, in SSF4 12(if i counted right) out of the 35 characters have fireballs, so i guess the rest of the cast cant do shit?.
The highest tier ranked characters in SSF4 at the moment include rufus,abel,balrog and m.bison ....none of them have fireballs, but every non fireball character has their own way around spam.
If you paid attention to the reveal gameplay, you would of noticed kazuya ducking and dashing right under ryu's fireball just like dudley. Also...

Polyphony have put out gtHD, prologue and gtpsp in this timeframe too.
err gt5 prologue is better looking than forza 3... real talk.
So i guess splinter cell conviction and alan wake with their 5 years dev time are better looking and more fully featured than uncharted 2 which was made in 18 months? lol logic fail.
Face it polyphony are just the best at what they do period. That's not to say forza 3 is sloppy seconds because for what its worth its a good game, its just not gonna be on gt5's level.

Yeah but a sports game is a simulation of something real. There's only so much you can change about it once you have created it. Its not like they can reinvent how the sport is played each year.
Besides people who buy sports games every year already know that they are basically getting the same product with tweaks and updated teams and presentation and to them that's not a problem.

Uncharted 2 basically had to go above and beyond the bar in every category of games design in order to achieve its high scores. Crackdown 2 is a piss poor and lazy attempt of a sequel to a mediocre game and yet none of this is accounted for because "teh gameplayz".

Street fighter is more like rock paper scissors, its about knowing what beats what and punishing mistakes with ultras.
Tekken is more about memorization of juggles and hit strings, finding an opening to launch the opponent then unleash the largest combo you can.

Its cool man, That's kind of the downfall of having multiple reviewers for the same site, but if you trust his opinion then leave the score as it is.
If he really enjoyed it, fair enough, but having a crackdown fanboy review crackdown sort of throws off the rating system for everything else you review on the site.
The problem is he believes fireballs = god mode, which just suggests he has a problem with getting around fireballs personally and so he projects this complaint on to the general game design.
Every character in SSF4 without a fireball has a way around it, If not then his point might of been valid.
