Technically kinect is more powerful because it can track depth (z axis) as well as height(x axis) and width (y axis). However none of the current games shown are using this.
For example in sonic free riders, the kinect is seeing two "hitboxes" on either side of the player and when the player leans in to one of them it recognizes it as a move left or right, this is basically what gt5 headracking is doing, there's no difference.

Tekken 6 ARCADE runs on PS3 hardware, it looks wayyyy better than the console versions, and when I say wayyyy better I dont mean like these crappy multiplat comparisions where 360 has an extra pixel if you zoom in 100 times.
