Exactly, Yeah you do need a navigational control for move in order to play an FPS but the move itself is a 1:1 mouse pointing device, has buttons for crouch,reload and jump, a trigger for shooting and a quick throw gesture would work for grenades, with the navi control simply for movement.
Try the same setup with Kinect and it cant be done unless you move all the functions to the controller and then its no longer a Kinect game. It would be like me saying gt5 is a PSeye game b...

This is it for Kinect, the limitations have already shown themselves. Even if they iron out the lag the Kinect will still be the equivalent of a one button device. Hardcore games can only exist on Kinect if they are dumbed down to the point that they are not hardcore anymore,so what's the point?

This is exactly why I have been so critical of Kinect, not because of what is does, but because of what was promised, hyped and shoved down our throats about it for so long.
Anyone with common sense already knew the limitations and therefore what to expect from it, however all the BS we were fed made it out to be something that it can never achieve.

For a device that's supposed to remove the complexity of a control, there's a shit tonne of self imposed rules you have to follow in order to make the thing work efficiently.
His point is, dance central needs to see your whole body in order to recognize body gestures. If your 5"10 or above your basically screwed unless you can get at least 8ft away from the screen, which is ridiculous.
Any moves that require specific footwork will fail as does moves with arms up in the air, like fist pumps unless you can back off enough to frame your self and the excess space.
