Your point is very true, but these "writers" represent a company. If I publicly show improper conduct whilst representing my company, it reflects bad on them , not just me.
The problem with Ign and a lot of gaming sites is that they have no standard criteria, which means certain games are penalised for one thing whilst others have it totally overlooked. It makes for inconsistent reviews and to the reader makes Ign look bad.

Nathan Fillion should be a no brainer for the role, He even has the same first name. Ideally though they should just forget this movie altogether. Uncharted 2 has the feel of a movie already, the story telling wont be improved any further.

To be fair to M$, they did put out 4 or 5 exclusives this year, but they ranged from poor (crackdown 2) to just good (Alan wake). I played them all but even putting PS3 exclusives aside, there were plenty of way better multiplats on offer.
I agree about Halo:Reach, Its a well made game but it is essentially more halo (gives me a headache too) and it basically just looks like what Halo 3 should of looked 3 years ago, plus they added a super basic class...
