All three consoles have sub-HD games.

All Wii games are sub-HD. Halo 3 was sub-HD. Metal Gear Solid 4 was sub-HD. There are a dozen more examples for each of the two HD consoles.

If you disagree with this post, you are disagreeing with FACTS, solid, concrete, verifiable FACTS, thus you are WRONG, FALSE, a LIAR, INCORRECT. Congratulations for being wrong, fanboys.

The only reason why we don't consider it as being more capable than GC is because we're spoiled on 360/PS3 and HD graphics. In the end though, it's still more powerful than the GameCube.

It'd probably be accurate to say that the Wii is in between the 6th gen and 7th gen consoles in terms of power. Not quite up to par with the HD consoles, but not quite as outdated as the 6th-gen ones.

I know I missed your point, but since we kept on about discussing MW2's value, I'm going to rebuttal it. Hope you don't mind.

What's new? What are the significant changes? New perks, new gametypes, new weapons, better graphics, smoother gameplay, better animations, new challenges, customizable killstreaks, grenade sticks, new maps that are FAR more interesting and colorful than CoD4's, a revamped interface, player badges, the new host migration system, new sounds, MUSIC BY HANS Z...

Sony should.

EA is FAR superior to Activision. That is so very insulting.

And Dead Space and Mirror's Edge are of debatable quality because they were experiments. Good ideas on paper, questionable in practice, but that's the point of an experiment. They want to see what works and what doesn't. Now they know what they did wrong in those two games, now they know what to fix, and now we have two new IP's that may improve drastically with their second iterations.

I still don't consider Blizzard to be part of Activision. At all.

Halo 3 doesn't have a "Combat Evolved" subtitle.

Then why is it that I see so many significant differences in the gameplay between 4 and MW2 just by watching the videos? Infinity Ward isn't lazy. It's clear they've listened to the community and made vast improvements to their systems and how the game works.

If things seem "the same", it's because the core gameplay mechanics are the same. Which is fine! If they deviated significantly, it wouldn't be Call of Duty anymore, would it? The whole point of a sequel is to take...

The graphics look fine! In fact, they look fantastic! You guys just can't be satisfied with above average, can you? Just because they're not the best on the market doesn't mean they're bad.

At least there's a FAR more diverse color palette than Killzone or Gears.

I'd imagine most of those 28-year-old educated players are probably actually taking the time to enjoy their console rather than rage on N4G, hence why we don't see them as often here as these statistics would dictate.

How exactly do you take screenshots of "physics"? XD

The best scene in MGS4. No yapping, no ranting, just pure emotion.

Am I the only one surprised I don't see a bunch of people spamming anti-360 comments here?

The eventual outcome is extremely easy to predict.

GH5's system will have FAR more custom content, because people have all the tools they need to compose the music right there on the spot. They compose each instrument separately using pre-recorded samples, and then they play them. It's easily accessible. On the downside, all of that custom music sounds like cheap ringtones for cellphones made in 1999, and you can't use real music or any authentic recorded content. For small-time ...

Real answer: "constructive criticism". We call out a product's flaws in order to get a company to fix them. We complain because we want things to be better. If we dismiss all constructive criticism, then they have no idea how to improve.

Because of all this "press hate", PS3's now have in-game XMB, cross-game chat, a redesigned PlayStation Store, PS Home, rumble functionality in Sixaxis controllers, an insane amount of incredible exclusives, bank-breaking pric...

@Morganfell: The entire point of a corporation is to prey upon its userbase and exploit the advantages. Microsoft does it, and so does Sony and Apple and Nintendo and Activision and EA and every other major corporation that exists on this planet.

So yes. It WOULD be a good descriptor for what Microsoft would do, but it certainly isn't exclusive to Microsoft, especially not in the gaming industry.

If that was not your implication, then forget what I said.

I hereby declare this the stupidest thread in this news post. All accusations are baseless fanboy drivel. Neither console holds the other back. Infinity Ward has fantastic programmers. You are all morons.
