And anyone who doesn't have a PS3 needs to get this. This game is what sold the PS3 to me.
lol... I thought the facial animations in Uncharted were exaggerated to hell and back.
But yeah, I'd say it's worth it. The animations are much more pronounced and full of life in the cutscenes than in actual gameplay, and even in actual gameplay I think everything looks great.
Maybe it's just the art style.
It's because it's Valkyria Chronicles. C'MON MAN.
AAA title if I've ever seen one.
When I played the demo, I saw it through purely BECAUSE of the artistic style.
Aaaand I had GameFly and it was easy to swap games in a second and a half.
Because it's a terrible demo that does so very little to portray the true depth of the game. I also agree that, when I first played the demo, I was confused as to why everyone loved it. But now that I've finished the full game, I can easily say 80% or more of the game's tactical complexity and depth are infuriatingly missing from the demo.
I could seriously write up a list... orders, smokes, upgradeable weapons, the lore storybook, swappable characters, unlockable potentials, mor...
The voice overs are fine. I think they did a pretty good job on the English VO's, especially with Rosie's singing voice; I thought they would BUTCHER that when I saw it coming, but it was actually really good.
The problem, he's saying, is if you're on Japanese voice setting. The English subtitles to the Japanese VO's. They don't match up, and I noticed this problem too.
lol @ bungie.
You mean EA, right?
Almost all AAA titles are bland. They're just franchises and very few of them do anything to innovate.
No game is perfect, and both Fallout and Oblivion suffer from a lot of fundamentally flawed design choices (most of which are focused on the presentation) that set it back immensely and make it feel like a very incomplete game.
But I still enjoy the hell out of it and consider it my Game of the Year.
All fanboys suck. The Mass Effect series is a work of art, and I hope that it can come to PS3 as well as the 360 so that its potential audience would become greater.
But they're competing for shovelware sales. Nintendo and Apple are market leaders in shovelware. Thus, Apple is Nintendo's biggest competitor.
Thus, why EA > Activision at this point. EA may have been dirty in the past, but they're now taking all the money they got from it and are taking a risk by throwing it at new and interesting ideas.
Activision is the new EA.
I actually thought it was really dumb. Campbell having the mask on in the first scene completely ruined it all for me. He should have done the entire thing without the mask, really.
Nice. WTB. This game is GODLIKE.
Why? Isn't it obvious? Look at the picture! It's scared because if you put the 360 on top of the PS3's curved surface, the 360 might tip over! You can't stack them like that. =/
Japan will praise the genre as much as America despises it. In the end, these sorts of "minuses" are exactly what the Japanese enjoy.
Yeah, remember what they called "totally hardcore" last time? Wii Sports Resort.
gfg. It ain't happening.
Which could also mean both are equally good.
If two things have the same amount of excellence, then that means they also have the same amount of suck.
GAMEFLLYYYYYYYYY!!
