Those of us with tons of money will buy both, but those of us with a tighter budget can only get either one or the other. Financially, and business-wise, they're against each other. GFW Live is basically a ton of the features of Xbox Live for the PC, for free. Things like a friends list, cross-game voice chat, party invites, achievements, servers hosted by Microsoft, etc.
Only problem is that not many games support GFW Live.

What'll happen is, GameStop will go to Developer A, plop a nice fat check in their hand, and say "make something in the game for us and you can take the check". What does that mean?
