I think you have to give it to Red Dead. The game is one of the absolute best games to come out this gen. I love God of War 3 and personally like it better than Red Dead, but I understand why Red Dead should win most major gaming awards.
I don't understand their choices either. As for the writer dissing Alan Wake I'd have to disagree. Alan Wake may not have sold a lot of copies, but it is by no means a bad game.

I hate glitchers. I remember playing against one in Uncharted 2 when it first game out and it bugged the hell out of me. Dude was inside a wall shooting my team and no one could kill him.

I've had the game freeze once on PS3. But I have also had minor connection issues. I'd say maybe 1 out of every 10 games ends in a disconnect.
This article is talking crazy. Nuke Town is one of the best maps in the game, however, I agree with dkgshiz, Domination is pretty hard-core on this map.

I know one game that really hasn't aged well, Deus Ex: The Conspiracy. I actually just bought a mint condition copy on Ebay because everyone says what a great game it is and I missed it last gen. The game is archaic in every sense of the word. Maybe the PC version is a little better, but I could care less. Oh well, it will just sit on the shelf and look good.

People are being way to picky about this game, and some are not being picky enough. The game is solid. MP may have some issues but which brand new MP game doesn't. Anyone remember the first week of Killzone 2 or Uncharted 2? The game is solid and has worked 100%, 80% of the time.
This is the first COD game I have actually bought (I've played them all.) I have to say it lives up to the hype. The multiplayer is fast and addictive. This is the first game I have ever bought specifically just for the multiplayer. It lives up to the hype.
I broke down and ordered it on Amazon last night :( I'm weak. Medal of Honor died once this game came out.
It is sad that something like this can blow up so fast. There is no evidence to support the claims made within the article. Even this articles source is not a real source. One more thing in Spikes defense, they did pick Uncharted 2 over Modern Warfare 2 and Halo: ODST last year.
