I bet this is all because the Game-Industry as a whole is slumping big time. So rather than have the real numbers released (the bad one's), the big 3 decided they would rather inflate their numbers in order to please stock holders.
I for one think the game looks decent. I'll pick it up once the price drops to $40. Hell, I'm still playing Killzone 2.

I hate when people complain so much about games that are to similar to teh previous installment. People did the same thing with Bioshock 2. For me, more of the same can be a great thing.

On a side note, to the people who say R1 and 2 were bad games. You are being game snobs. They are not the most original, but they play well and are fun as hell. FUN is the thing all you game snobs forget the most. A game doesn't have to be revolutionary for it to be fun.
This article is terrible. I'm sorry but what Killzone 2 lacks in originality it more than makes up for with incredible game-play, graphics, and story.

I'm not saying they don't look impressive, but to me the gritty realism of Killzone 2 makes it the best looking game. When it comes to Killzone 2 you have to look at all the small things, like, particle effects, lighting, and the gritty look of everything. I really hope that in GTA 5 they bring back a lot of the extra stuff that was all over San Andreas. I still don't understand why Rockstar dumbed GTA 4 down so much. It was still a good game but it lacked that trademark GTA 'FU' mentality.
If the Dreamcast is the greatest console of all time then the Atari 2600 is the most technologically advanced console ever.
I may get some heat for this, but i still say Killzone 2 is the PS3 graphics king. The reason I say this is because of how realistic it looks. When you look at a game like Uncharted 2 or God of War 3 it doesn't look real, it still looks animated. Heavy Rain looks great but there are far too many graphical glitches like screen tear for me to give it a spot in a top 5.
They had better not release the Wii as HD only all of the sudden, I will be pissed if that is the case, considering I just bought my son one for his 6th birthday a few months ago. I was already mad because after I bought it a week later the version that came with the Wii Motion Plus and Sports Resort was released.
That is insane that some people would say Sony selling $17 Million worth of software was a bad month.
