Haze was a stupid move, make a console exclusive (one that got bad reviews and low sales to boot), instead of a tried and tested multiplat.
It would be like if bungie made halo 2 then randomly left it for a new IP.

overly hyped for this game, despite being a halo fan. This game will be overshadowed by empire total war and dawn of war 2 for me. Though people without a PC might pick this up. I still believe RTS can't work as well as they can on PC. Who knows? Maybe this game will prove me wrong.

are they going to stick a dead format in their next gen console. Either they must go Blu-Ray or back digital distribution even more. Depends how internet connection are like when it launches.
They should just run Steam on the xbox if they are going into downloads.

And the PS2 had the gamecube to fight, luckily for Sony it was vastly inferior to the playstation but Sony weren't to know that until it launched. So they still tried hard to innovate to counter what nintendo MIGHT offer. And microsoft had just entered the market with an entirely new console. The likes of the PS2's dominance are unlikely to come again.

It looks like Blu-Ray might not be overshadowed by digital distribution after all. I doubt hard drives are going to get big enough to properly compete with blu-ray in that regard. At least not for a while. And maybe by then there will be tech to just transfer your blu-ray movies straight to your hard drive.
Without a console competitor (wii targets a different audience) you could assume that M$ would do what they do best and quickly capitalize on there near monopoly. That is bad for gamers.
Which actually makes me wonder, when will fanboys realise that console competition makes gaming strong. Wrong, digital distribution is the future, while blu-ray might rule now, eventually virtual storage will take over.

Steam is a vision of the future, I buy all the PC games on there I can, and often don't bother if it isn't on steam. I love it!
Sony is nearly ready to crush the Xbox, I don't like to admit it, but right now sony's offering is better, mostly because PSN is free. Microsoft are charging way too much for everything. DLC should be cheaper, Gold should be free or cheaper for long-time members (i have had live since it's incarnation). And silver should let you play online.

this looks like crap. Try a PC release and it *might* be decent. Then again PC competition (starcraft, dawn of war, empire total war) would leave this game for dead. Looks horrible, i hope people won't buy this just because of loyalty to halo. It isn't even a bungie game.
