Really? Have you heard of MLG? Competitive gaming. Halo is their flagship game. Why? Because it requires the most skill. I can understand someone saying that it requires little skill, if they haven't got much experience playing Halo 3.
It looks more like CryEngine 2.5 than 3. It's nothing like the CryEngine 1 to 2 advancement. Have consoles held back technological advance? I'll still be playing this one on the PC, but I am very excited to see what can be done on console. Halo 4 to be done on CryEngine? We can dream. Goodbye Unreal Engine, you were only ever mediocre anyway.
Article approving has hit new lows...It's a freaking smoke mod! Who cares? Smoke is far from a priority in E:TW. Maybe it will be a nice touch to add into a PROPER mod in the future.

No point, by the time DVD is done and dusted digital downloads should have become a more viable option. There is therefore little incentive to invest in a blu-ray player or PS3.
I already use digital downloads for all my PC games anyway.

Only Half Life and Crysis surpassed halo, maybe Bioshock too but that is a different kind of game really.
However no game's multiplayer has ever captured my atttention like halo 3 has.
There is no such thing as overrated, it is just that were millions of people like something and you don't, and you are so arrogant you think your opinion counts for more.
How on earth do people think things become 'overrated'. Because they are good and lots of people enjoy it. Therefore no Valve game is overrated, Valve is not overrated, they are just great innovators. I wonder if it's mostly console owners who think otherwise.
The differences in reactions to Halo Wars getting a 7 and Killzone getting a 7 are astounding.
PS Halo is fairly innovative only if you count consoles, which is fair enough, because despite Goldeneye, FPS were frequently thought to be the realm of the PC. Halo changed that.
Also Halo is now doing the same with RTS, bringing it to the consoles. I was more dubious than anyone about Halo Wars, but the demo is very good. The controls are seamless.
Has severely mediocre gameplay, perks are a good concept, but are brought low by some stupid ones, helicopters are dumb. It's like giving a winning soccer team 5 more players to balance the game.
I'm no PS3 owner but I don't think we should insult Killzone so badly, it's graphics alone>COD4 in it's entirety

Yes the visuals are very good but most of the gameplay seen so far has looked very bland. Have you seen some of the top flight PC RTS's. No comparison.
But hey maybe it will surprise us, I will be one of the first to download the demo.
First Halo title to get below 9.0 average. I am a big Halo fan and big RTS fan so this should be like a dream come true, but it doesn't look that great, to be honest I'd rather play a Halo mod for Dawn of War. I am very dubious about an RTS on consoles.

It's just that everyone was expecting PS2-like market dominance. Which it definitely isn't doing. In it's own right it is excellent, but when you think how badly the PS2 crushed everyone, then in comparison the PS3 is indeed a blunder. If it had been better or released earlier, Microsoft would have been forced out the market due to the strength of the Playstation brand.

are good games in their own right, but compared with the PC versions, they're second rate. The PC games are some of the greatest games ever made, with unparalled storytelling.
