I will agree that the genre isn't my absolute favorite, but most hack and slash games have a certain charm to them. Be it their art style, or their cinematic nature, humour, something. This just looks so ... run of the mill.
Character action games usually have something to offer. Bayonetta had the blazing fast gameplay, the tongue in cheek humour, the style.. It had a personality. Devil May Cry games had the attitude, the characters, the over the top cinematic visual styl...
Not to sound like a dick, but this just seems so fucking redundant. Smash, smash, smash, hit with shield, QTE execution and repeat. That's all this seemed to be. Just waves and waves of enemies with the only variety being the animation that plays when you execute them. I'm sorry, but unlocking animations does not constitute as deep combat.
I'm a fan of Crytek (I love Far Cry and Crysis anyway) and I think the visuals look good and the face mocap work are great, bu...
In a word: Yes
In several words: Of course it will. What a stupid article.
Mafia II wasn't on PS2, only the first game was. I remember the console ports being rather poorly received. I'm purely speaking about the PC version of the game. But the first game itself was met with critical acclaim and is widely considered to be a classic in the genre. I'm not sure if this is the game you are talking about. I remember the PS2/Xbox versions of Mafia were released several years later - which would make it seem dated, yes. But still, Mafia was a great game. Especi...
Replied to wrong post!
But Mafia was a great game. Really good. Mafia II was ok, nothing spectacular - but still pretty solid.
Why would anyone possibly disagree with this?
And @Are_The_MaDNess
"server stability is a larger problem IMO"
...but that's what I said in my post.
They need to fix the server crashing before anything else.
Why would anyone waste their time playing this, much less hack it?
I'd definitely drag a tongue through it. She'd get ragged fo sho'
What do you expect? Of course she didn't like it. Some girl playing what is clearly a mans game. No surprise there. Typical feminist sense of entitlement drivel.
Great news! Ubisoft have definitely been getting in my good books in recent months.
Very blurry, low resolution shots...
They're fueling an already existing joke that the console is oversized in the first place. Good job, Microsoft!
"Resident Evil 1: Remake (1.35 million)"
This is sad. They didn't even mention RE Zero...
I know horror is subjective, but this is quite a .... strange selection of titles here. It seems a bit unfair to limit it to just 5 games.
No. The DualShock 4 is apparently a plug and play device that works natively with Windows, Mac and Linux platforms.
Well at least they made it on a 1:1 scale of the real thing.
Getting mine tomorrow! Going to use on my PC.
This was a gameplay demonstration. By definition, a demonstration is supposed to demonstrate what the final product will offer. For all intents and purposes, a demo should do it's best to sell me on said product. How are we not supposed to judge it? And don't give me the "It's an old build, things will change" bull either.
