What about the Battlefield series?
I think I speak for everyone here when I say you're missing the point completely. No one is doubting the game itself. The actual GAME is fun as shit. No one can deny that. In fact, it's probably my favorite game in the series yet, personally. That said - it's incredibly poorly made and unstable. No game should have to go through so many updates and STILL be unplayable for some. Each new patch seems to introduce some new issue. This isn't an isolated case with BF4. This has bee...
"So...Do We Still Care About Move?"
Here's a hint: No. (and neither do Sony)
I used Naughty Dog as an example. Just look at the difference in quality from Uncharted: Drakes Fortune all the way to The Last of Us. The point I'm trying to illustrate is of course the console has room for improvements and capabilities to be pushed further than we're currently seeing. The friggen thing hasn't even been out for a year yet.
These developers have an annoying habit of making claims that they've 'maxed out' all the power of whatever cons...
I've never known a series be so consistently shit. Even Battlefield 2, a game which everyone seems to continue to praise, it was borderline unplayable at times. I lost count how many patches were released. The common trend with these games is that they release a patch to fix a patch that fixed an issue introduced in the patch before that. Each one bigger than the last. It's shocking.
Really, look up a changelog on any of the Battlefield games. It's almost funny ju...
No shit there's more potential. No console will be 'maxed out' (if there is such a term) within the first year of being released.
I remember when Uncharted: Drake's Fortune came out, and that was supposedly using all the PS3's hardware power. Then Uncharted 2 came out, then Uncharted 3, then The Last of Us...
*Why would anyone disagree with this? It's pure fact. Jesus...
Bit late, aren't you...
Finally, people are getting tired of RE4 clones that emphasize action over horror.
A patch to fix an issue that was introduced in the patch. Whatever happened to quality control?
Bad news for PC gamers. How are Xbox One owners faring?
...and then? But you're right. Who needs fresh and original games when you can just recycle Mario Kart for the umpteenth time?
...or perhaps he was just disappointed and wasn't overly impressed with it. *rolls eyes*
Personally, I loved it!
I think people were disagreeing with what clearly seemed a dig at a franchise that's had next to no changes or improvements on it's core gameplay for many years now. There's only so much you can do to the visuals. Yes, they look decent. But it's still Mario Kart. People will buy this game as a sense of obligation and justification of the purchase of a Wii U. Will it be fun? Undeniably - but it's been fun since 1992. How many times will they release this game? How many peop...
2GB download for a some changes in a few lines of code, a loadout generator, and an mp3 file.
Why is the Xbox 360 version only 250MB?
THE FUTURE!
I agree. Look at Vice City in comparison. Many times smaller, but an ultimately more enjoyable and fun game. The story missions took you to every corner and part of the city. With IV and V, there's so much that you don't even visit. I get that there should be room for exploration - but ehhh.
Yep. Looks like Mario Kart...
What a shockingly generic example of box art.
What a joke..
Is it worth playing? Absolutely. It's a masterfully designed game with excellent gameplay and stunning visuals to boot. It's the next chapter in the Metal Gear saga and chances are, 95% of people who are interested in this game would have played it already.
Is it worth paying $30 for? Well that's up to you. Something, anything, is only as valuable as you perceive it to be. Personally, I've had a great experience with Ground Zeroes and feel what I paid was wort...
My personal all-time favorite game. Not the best title I've ever played, but certainly my most favorite. I have more memories attached to this game than any other and have replayed it more times than I care to count. I love it!
