is only a guarantee that the game will work correctly with the system. It has nothing to do with the quality of the game. All Nintendo systems since the NES had games of various quality. Taboo: The Sixth Sense? It wasn't even a game!
but will Canada be shafted on this one too?
And Canada gets completely shafted.
That and you can be guaranteed on downloaded content that the audio is compressed to hades, and the video bit-rate is extremely low.
Blu-Rays are definitely the way to go if you're going for quality (provided that the studio did a good encode to begin with).
You won't be disappointed.
You could be in the region that's SUPPOSED to get the content, but doesn't. Canada is in the North American region, but shut out because it's not the US? Now THAT'S frustrating!
I understand a lot of Canadian frustration living with my Canadian neighbo(u)rs. Things like this just make my teeth grind.
I guess you don't care about XBL's features if you don't care about online.
is that the game is split into squads of 8. That makes 42 teams. Man! That's a lot of teams. But I digress... that will make some of the chaos less chaotic if they split into teams.
MS gains a multiplatform title, and Sony shows you numerous AAA exclusives and you want a 360? I hope you enjoy it.
My wife loved the first one. She's into first person shooters, and she is really looking forward to this one. I'll have to show this trailer to her later.
Mayor Quimby's voice is a parody of the Kennedys.
What is up with you people?!? Square sells out and the PS3 is doomed? The PS3 has many 1st party legs to stand on this year. One game isn't going to crush a console. Some of you really need to even out your melodramatic roller coaster with some meds.
Pit needs more games and more recognition. I bought this and Metroid at the same time when they were originally released. Guess which one I played more? Sorry Samus.
I moved on from Rebel Without a Cause and Raiders of the Lost Ark. I can watch them on my VHS, but I have a Blu-Ray player now. More Blu-Rays please, we don't need these old movies anymore.
:P
Or use my DS2 to USB converter and play them on my computer so I wouldn't have to take them down from the attic.
The real Atari died years ago. All that is left of the original company is the name.
The game testers for this are going to be in for a very... very... long haul.
The problem with in-game advertising (or in movie or television advertising) is that I *always* notice it whether I'm looking for it or not. When I do, it takes me right out of the game and the immersion is gone. It's similar to that Hancock commercial where he's standing on the US Bank building. I think "I wonder how much they paid for that?" every time I see it.
The argument is "Well there has to be a US Bank building somewhere." My point is that people ...
But sometimes the games don't really translate on the emulator. The feeling of a dark room with all the black lighting on a real Tron cabinet doesn't come across. Just like the steering wheel on Spy Hunter, the 64-direction joystick on Sinistar, beating the game buttons into submission on Track and Field, or the yoke on a real Star Wars machine is just missing.
It's great that they are preserved, but to get the full experience you need the cabinet.
