They couldn't block it if they wanted to. It's not Mega Man. It's the same style, and more than likely the same gameplay, but it's different.
It's the same as when Disney couldn't use Oswald anymore and created Mickey Mouse. It's also like how Image's Supreme being "like" Superman. They're similar, but not the same in the eyes of the law.
It is little known to the mainstream. Ask the average gamer now what an Amiga is and they'll give you a blank stare. I just remember how the game started you out facing to the right, and about the same stance that Mario was on the original SMB. Basically, they were indicating you to go right. It took me a week to figure out I had to initially go left at the beginning to progress in the game.
It's still the best Zelda game in my opinion.
Pac-Man, the original mascot. Awesome.
The only game my wife has ever preordered in her entire gaming career.
Yeah, copying and pasting is very difficult.
I'd rather have a remake of Metal Gear 1 and 2, than a remake of Metal Gear Solid.
@Testfire Yes, it'll definitely teach you how to play. I would, however, supplement the game with some musical theory so you'll know WHY you're playing it that way.
The man created Kirby and Smash Bros. His legendary status is confirmed even if he does nothing but junk for the rest of his career.
Nintendo no longer has their Nintendo Power hype machine any longer to make new stuff. /sarcasm
It was just a thought. If someone is going to profess this as a great feature, then they'll have to know what the possible downsides are.
So, what happens when the person that originally "owns" the content doesn't log in for 24 hours? Does everyone suffer the effects of not being able to play? How far has MS and everyone thought into this?
Major Havoc is one of the, if not THE, best vector arcade games ever made.
There are plenty of games from the golden age of arcade gaming (1980-1985) that definitely should be in contention for a list such as this (all pre-Super Mario Bros). However, it also depends on what criteria you are using to make the decision. There are also computer and console games that could have been considered. The main thing for me is that while I could agree with certain decisions, a lot of the examples used for a series aren't probably the best representation of that series. ...
This is what I was saying with my first two comments, but I should have elaborated more.
And the list is rubbish.
Um... games have been around before Super Mario Bros.
Actually, when I was at Nintendo, the Japanese testers had to put shortcuts into Double Dash tracks to beat our US times.
Heh heh.
If it's anything like the PS3 reveal, it will take almost 3 years before people even THINK about forgetting it.
That would be great!
