It looks like it was moved for some reason, we will have to wait for E3 for details.
If you backup your system you will not loose anything.
backup -> new drive -> restore = nothing lost
It is a very easy process. I changed out my drive in less that 5 minutes. Although, the backup/restore does take time.
If there is an option to install, I will install. I like the performance increases that the hard drive installs give... faster load times, and less texture pop in...
I just recently upgraded to a 250gb drive, so space is not an issue.

Do realize that EA owns Mass Effect, not Microsoft. The CEO Greg Zeschuk has stated more that once that Bioware, and now EA own Mass Effect.
What do you think are the odds that EA will not be publishing any of the Mass Effect series in the future?
Sure EA can take money for console exclusives, but that is not really a common EA practice.

During acquisitions and divestitures contracts have to be renegotiated. When EA bought Bioware, contracts would have to of been renegotiated at that time. All contracts have terminations clauses for these types of business transactions. Depending on what was acquired, MS may not hold any legal rights to Mass Effect. This may be a simple case of timed exclusive contracts. Only the legal team of EA has the answer here...
