The DS is better because it is a portable. The PSP is not as successful because it is trying to be too many things at once.
Think about this.
If A sells 6 games for every 1 that B sells for a period of four months, assuming a month is 30 days, by month's end, A would have sold 720 games and B would have sold only 120 games.
Now, for the next month, B outsells A by 2:1. At the end of that month, A would have sold only 30 games, and B 60 games.
Now, B clearly outsold A for that month, but B HASN'T taken over.
So far, A has sold 720+30 = 750 games.

A 10/10 does NOT mean perfection. It means that the level of enjoyment far outweighs the imperfections of the game so much so that they are practically a non-issue. THAT is what a perfect score means.
Some games do deserve a perfect score, like RESI 4 and SMG. Some don't. Like Halo 2.
