DMC 360 demo was impressive visually, but the game play was so so. I mean, even on NINJA DOG difficulty in Ninja Gaiden the enemies are more aggressive. DMC's enemies felt like punching bags.

Although Tecmo owns the Ninja Gaiden franchise, MS holds exclusive IP rights to Ninja Gaiden 2 as its publisher. The only thing we might see is a brand new Ninja Gaiden for PS3, but not anything related to NG2.
Do you even know what you are talking about? Publishers are a big deal to designers. Here's what the publishers do:
They are very much involved in the stages of development of the game.
They do copy editing if necessary.
They Mass-produce the CDs for the game, the boxart, the instruction manuals...all that.
They take care of advertising for the game.They have to come up with a marketing campaign.
They take care of distribution of the game.

There is a difference between OWNING a franchise completely and just owning IP rights to something. Tecmo owns the Ninja Gaiden franchise. MS owns the Ninja Gaiden 2 IP rights. I'm sure there will be a brand new NG on PS3, but NOT Ninja Gaiden 2 or anything Ninja Gaiden 2 related on PS3. We all know MS will NEVER port an exclusive to the competition (btw the DS is not competition to MS).
