It's just that most open worlds are bloated with repetitive collect 50 of these, kill this guy, bring me this item quests. Either cut down on the size of everything or make more types of activities, just with less of those in the actual game. Perhaps tie the sidequests into the actual story. Its difficult to say sometimes, I'm no game developer, and I know it's not easy and a lot of factors go into games. I do think a big problem is a lot of games base price on length of game etc....
Well if that's the case then just bring everything on thurs. Most people have decided by now if they are getting an X or not, but the few that may be swayed will not be if you dont have some good games. Hopefully Fable is real, and Perfect Dark. Halo needs to be awesome, but otherwise they need some new IPs at will attract the masses. I know they are capable, but will they actually bring it is the question. Best of luck MS and here's to Next Gen!
They have the studios now, so all they need to do is make the game and make them good. I know they're capable but come Thursday they're going to have to show us.
I would guess it wont change much. Just some refinements here and there. It should be cool tho to have and actual city with buildings and be able to explore all the floors in them. Like the vertical gameplay looks like it may be good. Like itll have its jungles/forest areas, but if the city areas are like a GTA FPS style and it feels lived in, that should be interesting. With the city setting, I have a feeling it may return to turning on towers here and there. Regardless, I'm excited, bu...
They shouldn't be talking ahead of the briefing. If it's as good as they think and as it can be, just let it speak for itself. Bring the games. That's all people want, is good games. They have enough studios now that they can launch at least 2 to 3 big games every year. I'm getting both systems regardless like usual, but for the people that need convincing......Just bring it! I really hope Fable is real and it evolves the formula. Perfect Dark would be cool, but we need some c...
They are seriously just dragging this out now. I wouldnt be surprised if MS doesnt give the price and pre order info at this next briefing, and then we have to wait longer for all the info we want on these systems.
I think it's better with the ai teammates, but it should've been there from the beginning. They were trying to force us to play online. Still doesnt change the repetition and the bloated world. I'd like a more linear game with action set pieces and a good story line.
I agree that maybe they shouldn't be giving everything away, but it's also up to whoever to watch it or not. I didnt watch the paper mario treehouse because I want to go in blind. For whatever reason, some people want to know everything before launch. I guess showing more to those who want to see is better than not showing anything. As far as releases, In my opinion most games are announced too far out. I think a month or two is good enough for hype and it keeps it fresh in peoples mi...
I wouldnt worry right now. It's a PREVIEW BUULD and those are usually older versions. We will just have to wait and see.
I dont like it, but I'm shocked it took this long. Technically though, we dont know that every AAA game is going to cost 70. If the companies want to charge it, then they will, and people will still buy them. In my opinion, once it happens, that's it, no going back. The only way is to voice our opinions now before it takes place. I remember when I paid 70 to 90 for some snes games. We are lucky they've stayed steady at 60 for as long as they have. Tell the dev's now.
I guess we will see at the briefing. I'm excited. If most of the rumours are true, then I'll be happy. Fable, Perfect Dark, New IPs. They have enough studios now that they can release at least 2 big games a year. If they are cross gen the first 2 years, that's fine. That's what I expect. As long as they are good games, that's what matters. Of course no matter what happens at the briefing loads of people are going to dump on them and declare PS the next gen winner already. ...
This would be a cool shadow drop during the upcoming briefing.
3 was great in my opinion, but no one gave it a chance. A complete reboot is definitely needed.
It was only announced not too long ago. I get the whole world is kind of a mess at the moment, but its still disappointing. The unfortunate thing is, I still wouldnt be surprised with another Cyberpunk delay. Or one of the new consoles being pushed.
I'm fine with the last few games. They just need to tighten up the experience a bit. It shouldn't be 20 hours with just main story but 100 with side content. In my opinion the thing that needs the most fixing is the current/future timeline. Embrace it fully or just get rid of it completely.
This unfortunately has been a long time coming. Its bound to happen eventually. Even if they do make billions on dlc and micro transactions, it's a business and they will always want more money. Being this is the beginning of Next Gen, what better time for them to have an excuse. It sucks, but people will pay. Welcome to the future.
Sure it's ok to like or not like any game. It's an opinion. It's ok, even if sometimes I cant understand the dislike, but that's why it's someone else's opinion. The problem is throwing hate towards the people that have a different opinion, or telling them they are wrong. Even bigger is some of the things said to the dev's of games. If you dont like something, fine, but cant you just have a normal conversation about it. With The Last of Us 2 I can understand some o...
I'm not worried. It's an opinion, and others opinions are different. Skill up said the driving was great and the gunplay was good. Others didnt agree. To begin with when they have these play previews they are usually older pre alpha or beta builds. Again, I'm not worried. It looks good to me.
What does it matter what games anyone likes? It's an OPINION. There's no right or wrong answer. If the game didnt work for you, that doesnt make it garbage, and you dont have to tell others that liked it that they are wrong or stupid. Some games could have bad writing, graphics, or gameplay etc. That doesnt mean people cant like it tho. In my opinion the game was great and I welcome a third if it's in the cards.
They definitely have some good games coming. The issue I see, and most companies do the same, is gameplay. We need gameplay at these briefings. Where was the Hellblade gameplay? I understand they pretty much just bought these studios and most games arent far along, but the average customer doesnt understand that, and you're not going to sell consoles this way. CG trailers dont show us what these games are all about.
