The classics are great. I just finished playing Fallout 4 a couple weeks ago and now I've gotten into some retro gaming. I've also started playing jrpgs which is a genre that I was never into until now.

So there's a whole new world of games for me this Christmas. I'm playing FFVI right now, then I've got Chrono Cross and Chrono Trigger lined up. I couldn't be happier right now.

Between The Last Remnant, Murdered: SS, Front Mission Evolved, and the Just Cause bundle I made out like a bandit.

@ BlackTar187, well I do feel a free emulator would be great customer service, but even if they charged for it I'd be ok with that if it were reasonably priced and offered good features. There are other emulators out there for the PC that offer all these features and more for free. Seriously, if the community can do it, why not Sony?

100% agree with you. They should provide an emulator that would upscale to 1080p and have options for AA and post effects. This should work with digital and physical copies people own already.

Then provide an optional patch that gives trophy/social support at a small fee.

It would be a win win and get them much more respect from consumers.

I'm currently playing the PC version and I think it's great. Of course I've never played the original, but as a new player to the franchise I love it. I did come across 1 issue though, the part whee you give Gau dried meat, there wasn't an option to give it to him. I finally started pressing random keys and somehow it worked.

Nonetheless, great game and not deserving of the score.

"Try parking your soapbox under a noose next time."

I thought the days of the "go kill yourself" type comments was over. Apparently, there are still too many children with internet access...

Looks like 8 GB RAM is becoming the norm. I'm going to have to upgrade to at least 12 GB soon.

I was like "sweet", then I saw it wasn't going to be for sale, then I was like "awww".

Same here. I just finished my first playthrough and I was left underwhelmed. There wasn't very many memorable quests and last questline for the path I chose just had a bad pacing. There's not much of a buildup, you're just all of a sudden in your final battle, then boom, end of the main story.

This game did present some fresh ideas to the series that I liked, but overall imo it's the weakest between Fallout 3 and NV.

Sales equal relevancy, which is the point of the article. And as a matter of fact BO3 does have quality gameplay which is the overall consensus.

The best thing that could happen is if both companies work together to make both devices successful. We need the VR space to be as big as possible to attract devs and publishers. We shouldn't be rooting for one device to knock out the other.

They are a bit in competition though. For people that own both OR capable PCs and PS4s these consumers may choose one over the other based on support.

Or Humble Bundle, Bundle Stars, Indie Game Stand, etc. Steam isn't the end all be all of sales.

Ni No Kuni 2. That game will push me to buy a PS4.

I'm sure there are coders out there working to make this work for Win 7 and 8/8.1.

Thx a7xgemini, that's info I didn't know. I've always heard good things about VI and VII which is why I kinda wanted to start there but wasn't sure about the story line.

@ninsigma, no PS4 yet. Thank for the info, I'm getting excited now to start playing these games for the first time!

Believe it or not, but I've never played a FF game. I want to get into them, but at this point it's so intimidating with how many story lines there are. Anyone have advice for new players like me? Would FFVI be ok to start or is it in the middle of a story line?

If the games were good enough they would say which ones. They probably just bundled a bunch of low performers.

As tvs have gotten bigger, thinner and cheaper I thought more local co-op games would be made/released. Sadly I was wrong, for some reason they're going the way of the dinosaur.
