They simply don't care. This series rides in its name alone, they know it'll sell enough to make profits. I hope one day someone will come along and show some respect to the Sonic license, it's been misused for way too long.
@badz149, that is a shame about only having 1 ending. Although it won't affect me because even with games that have many endings like Heavy Rain which I loved I only gave it 1 playthrough. But I do understand that many others feel different.
I'm still looking forward to this game though, just not the lengthy cutscenes.
Does anyone know when the Oculus Rift is supposed to be readily available to the public, meaning when all the preorders are filled and I can go into a store or on Amazon and buy one.
@ Gangsta, I haven't personally tried any vr but from what I've heard Eve:Valkyrie which actually ships with Oculus has heart pounding immersion.
Also a lot of people get Amazon gift cards throughout the year, so putting these towards the psvr is a no brainer.
Why not both :)
I just started playing Shadow of Mordor and aside from a couple issues it's a really well made game. If I had to describe it I would say if Hitman and Far Cry had a baby this would be it.
Temporal reconstruction sounds like some futuristic sci-fi stuff lol.
Anyway, the game looks great and I look forward to it. If people don't like it oh well, don't play it, who gives a f$%*?
That doesn't make sense. In the end, someone who wanted it will buy them, albeit for more than msrp, but it will end up in a consumers hands. Scalpers aren't collectors, they're resellers. Blame the limited stock.
PS,I wasn't able to pre-order a unit either.
What CPU are you running?
@ Fox, if people are disgruntled about a franchise than why don't they, oh I don't know, not by the game?!? How many times has a COD been announced, people bash it, then said people still buy it. Same for Madden, Assassins Creed,FIFA, etc.
It all speaks to the obvious character flaws that many of us see. Lack of maturity, overwhelming sense of entitlement and no discipline of the wallet.
It's great to see devs take care of each other.
Obviously you'll never get the SAME buzz, but that's with everything in life. First time playing a certain game, first kiss, first buzz, first everything.
But I still contend that old games can still be replayed and enjoyed, and are just as relevant today.
No, read my above comment please. I've been gaming for over 30 years but even so there were whole genres I've missed out on. I'm now going back and playing those games, and they're just as magical to me as playing Uncharted for the first time.
My son is currently playing the earlier pokemon games on his phone and he's loving those. That's not nostalgia, that's us enjoying great gaming experiences.
This guy is an idiot and I hope the article was only a click bait one and not his true opinion.I recently just played and beat FFVI for the very first time and I loved it. I'm currently playing Crono Trigger for the first time and I'm also loving that game.
These are gems of the past surely and not every game will hold up, but the same holds true for modern gaming. Many games are crap now and will be crap 20 years from now as well. A great game will always be great.
My son just got the Hyperx cloud 2 and I wasn't that impressed with the sound. It was clean but lacking in bass. The noise cancellation and build quality are top notch though.
I'll always take physical first, but unfortunately the future is digital. And people will still buy consoles. Look at PC gaming, it's practically all digital now and the market is still going strong.
Same here, I'm about 25 hrs into FFVI, then I'll play FFVII.
Thanks beaks. Yeah I use Sabin and Edgar whenever I have the chance.
Agreed completely, I love Dark Souls even though I've never beaten one lol. It's a dedication of time, patience and skill. I sometimes lack in the time and dedication front.
But I view these games also as gamer badges of honor. To best these games is truly an accomplishment, something that shouldn't be scaled down for everyone else.
Crap, I gotta get back into the series now lol.
