Actually I wish you are right,
but the developments, including Microsofts move and also how more and more Sony Games are getting PC ports now look like a long-time strategy to me that will make their own consoles obsolete someday. I fear TV's will come with Apps that Stream Games ..and do it faster and better than now and will replace consoles completely.
Hopefully I am wrong here.

Yup guessed that will happen, but its a sad truth. The future will be almost completely digital and consoles will become obsolete..replaced by f*king streaming devices.
Same will even happen to Sony and Nintendo someday. Consoles are a thing of the past, present and the next future but it might be over in 10 years.
Microsoft did the right move there.

If that means 3 ps5 ps+ games in 2026 every month I am all for it. The PS4 is getting less and less new games /ports anyway which would mean just more older PS4 games
Don't care for Payday but the other 2 are okay.
That for sure..but while both games share some elements, they are both as different from each other than lets say..Street Fighter and Tekken.
Just create a new Killer Instinct.
..except that its crashing and running slowly on many systems even if the requirements are all okay. The reviews on steam tell not so nice stories.
