Gamers that play them. There are still some big communities with hundreds of active Mugen content creators including promising looking projects like another Marvel vs. DC game. I bet that..if Mugen would be on Steam with Steamworks support it would be a quite big and successful thing.
Dead like almost everything from the original Rareware and almost everything Microsoft gained through buying studios many years ago.

Its just a third party game in alpha or pre-alpha status.
The question is..are they using the money completely to create the game or just a small part of it?
Its a damn fraud..no game costs as much as they made with the alpha already. They are professionals at making money though.

It is pretty fun that Seth is back in SFV..but on the other hand..there are a lot other characters I would have prefered to see again
Abel, C.Viper, Rose, Gen, Adon, but also one more character from SF1 who was never playable.
That they ditched almost all of the new characters from SFIV is weird.
Heilung being a part of Hellblade 2..that one made me really care for the game. But I hope it will be available on PC sooner or later.
