It is a great game, that 5/10 review on here is just plain ridiculous.
Lol, are you sure?
It's not really about trust, more about whether Naughty Dog are moving the emphasis of their games towards multiplayer. Not suggesting SP will be neglected, but if you took those MP dev hours and put them into SP then you'd probably have an SP mode 5 hours longer.
The article does say that it thinks the game will be a fantastic package. It's just wondering if Naughty Dog game by game is moving it's emphasis towards MP. Will UC3 singleplayer mode be any better than previous Uncharted singleplayer modes? Might it be at risk of treading water?
It does look awesome, the world is large as well - reportedly 5 times bigger than the original game. I think it does open up eventually although it's in stages rather than all at once. Even GTA did this with closed bridges etc.
True, it's more of a focused linear narrative, that's no bad thing as it's not an RPG anyway. Maybe people were hoping for an openworld to drive the batmobile around in solving random street crimes as they occur?
It still looks like being a quality game, even if the world is revealed in smaller chunks.
It all depends on when it is released, it probably is too high for 2013, but if it drops back to 2015 then it's reasonable. In the UK at least it needs to be £299 at most, PS3 launched at £425 and sold poorly until the price dropped. It also depends on the world economy at that time, if it's out of the dustbin by then.
Agreed, it looks like a lot of love and care has gone into the development. Definately a contender for PS3 exclusive of the year.
Exactly, that's the point of the article. Move requires a defining game to establish itself.
Great pic by the way.
If you took Move controls away from KZ3 then it would be just as successful a game. Move needs a hardcore AAA dedicated title that shows the innovation found in the controller itself. Sony need to think outside of the box, it's useless having cutting edge hardware without the software.
That's very true. It's disappointing that both MS and Sony haven't produced any real innovative software to match the hardware. Tacked on motion controls in an FPS doesn't cut it.
It's PS3's best racer, it would be unthinkable if we didn't get plenty of DLC. Come on Polyphony, get your finger out I need my Veyron premium model.
I think you're being a little oversimplified :-)
As the article says, the console version isn't likely to be a big step up from Bad Company 2. Apart from slightly better destruction and some new maps, it won't benefit from the graphical step up like the pc. So, should it be an expansion rather than a full game on console?
This article is tempting fate :-)
I can't agree with you there. PS3 was out in Japan in 2006, and if I remember Xbox was 2005. Back in 2005 it certainly was up there with a high end pc.
True, but I think player count and resolution reduction will be needed. The gap between pc and console will only widen with every year we wait for Ps4/Xbox720
I'm actually prefering KZ3, more varied environments, fluid controls and love the mechs and jetpacks.
