Dollar for dollar they are better value than a pc - on a performance per dollar basis you can't beat a console.
Gee, thanks for letting us know. It's important that we hear the pc version is better at least 459 times per day.
What this site needs is more articles telling us that BF3 is best on pc.
/sarcasm off
Playing BF3 on full settings will cost alot in pc hardware. Not to mention what a pain in the ass Windows and it's drivers are. A comfy sofa, 50" TV, a beer, home cinema and unified controllers are the way to go. It's a level playing field, unlike on pc where one guy has 200fps and a 60mbps connection and another is struggling along at 20fps on a 512kbps connection. Did I mention all of the cheating, wallhackers and aimbotters on pc?
Stick to console, it's a ...
That's only for America.....Xbox is nothing outside of the U.S. and U.K. Everywhere else (EU, Japan, Asia) the PS3 is dominant.
New browser please. The current one is a fu*king shambles.
BF3 has HUGE maps, comparing it graphically to the tiny maps in UC3 or KZ3 is crazy. Of course you can put more polygons and higher textures into a map 10% of the size. Think about it sensibly.
Do PC gamers actually 'play' their games? From the comments on N4G it seems that they just gawp at the graphics, with their manhood hanging out.
Does anyone care about gameplay anymore? Or are modern day gamers more interested in looking at antialised curves all day?
Back in the 80's we used to jump monochrome ascii characters around the screen and call it a platformer. In fact you could buy books to type in your own BASIC code and then play the g...
Because you'd be playing against mouse users and would lose badly. Consoles are an even playing field, with the same control methods and hardware. Also, you can avoid aimbotting, wallhacking etc,.
You can't build an equivalent pc for the price of a console. Therefore, console owners are the winners.
Oh my god, why do the pc crowd have to constantly go on and on and on and on and on and on and on......endlessly about how much more powerful their graphic card is than a console.
We know already. Congratulations that you've spent $800 on your ninja rig. What do you want, a medal or something?
Some of us spend $200 on a console because we'd rather spend an extra $2000 decorating our homes. No one cares about your mega pc. It doesn't make you cool,...
I suppose that is revenge for the Skyrim timed DLC? Although to be honest, all timed exclusive DLC is a stupid idea and serves no positive purpose.
I'm a PS3 owner. I'm very happy for the xbox people that they will be getting a gret version of BF3 as well.
We can all enjoy this great game, regardless of platform.
Actually, it's about having fun when you play. Everything else is meaningless if it's not fun to play.
There are lots of weapons in the game - 400 hours is to unlock everything.
What most people will do is have 3 or 4 favourite weapons and unlock them fully, that won't take too long to be honest. Probably 10 hours online will do that for you.
Total BS review. Legacy is easily the best DLC released to date for the Dragon Age franchise (excluding Awakening which was an expansion, not DLC). It's a solid 8/10, Gamespot are clueless sometimes.
It matters because the PS3 has a history of *some* poorly performing multiplatform games. PS3 gamers might want to see the PS3 version in action as New Vegas which ran on a Bethesda engine performed poorly. This has nothing whatsoever to do with being a fanboy, it's simply about seeing a product before investing in it.
As for it being exactly the same, I'm sure the pc crowd would disagree with that.
I dunno, I waste hours writing thought provoking articles for no money. Then flamebait shite like this gets approved and hits 350 degrees in minutes. It's not even a well written, well argued piece. Really, what's the point?
I think this article is flambait personally.
None of those games interest me that much, possibly Warhammer or Deus Ex. But they're more likely to be rentals than purchases for me.
Consoles have a larger selection of high quality games than pc. At the end of the day, that's what matters.
You can graphics whore all you like, but when it comes down to it the console offers more choice at a better pricepoint.
