Yeah the campaign was actually very good by FPS standards and had a lot of cool moments. I think we all know that one level that had a cool little gameplay mechanic which was the highlight for me (don't want to spoil but I think it would've been great we could get a game based on that mechanic).
Only thing I didn't like was how they took a step closer to the standard online competitive shooter. TF1 just had an incredibly fun formula but I feel TF2 damaged it sli...
Unfortunately no it wont.
This will certainly shift units but it wont translate into software sales. So it'll live on in its own little way with hackers/modders but that's not the sort of life I think Sony wants for the system.
This is a really good stealth game. Highly recommend it if your interested.
I hope it succeeds on the Switch since the devs really deserve it.
Yeh I've been holding off until the Switch version too.
Just feels like a game I'd like to have the option to play on the go with.
November 17th sounds good since it'll give me enough time to play Mario: Odyssey before hand :)
I wonder how it'll play.
kinda looks like they've gone for a more arcade style of Warthunder but I doubt it'll have anything in depth unfortunately. Either way its on my radar!
@Yomfweeee
"Maybe he is getting disagrees because no one is misconstruing anything. All the complaints have always been about the system not getting third party AAA titles. Don't take it literally when people say they get "no third party support". We all know they get some."
Well thats ironic because I think its you who has taken me too literally.
Im talking about how people only look for the large AAA titles as ...
@segata
"They did not re do lines nor remove models. Outfits were changed. That's pretty much it."
Thats not quite true.
Lines were redone it seems: https://youtu.be/AsjWqCHPZ0...
Its worth watching the full video to get an idea as to how far the censorship went.
Does it suck that the Switch misses out on 90% of AAA titles? Sure. But people seem to keep misconstruing this as the system getting no 3rd party support. To be fair to this article it does include some indie titles but no one in their right mind is going to see the current level of support Indies are offering to the Switch and see it as lacking.
Here are a few 3rd parties that im looking forward to on the Switch:
Rayman: Legends
Dandara
...
Dayum you scraping by there dude. Make sure you bring ID.
@wonderfulmonkeyman
Yeah unfortunately it seems Sonys entered that phase that MS/Nintendo got into when they were on top. They start to dictate things with the expectation that people will give in because they have the largest market share.
I'm more disappointed that there are PS4 users that are defending this.
@OB1Biker
"I agree it would be nice to crossplay RL but it's another game isn't it? Others games proved it's no problem to crossplay on PSN."
Yes but now when it's crossplay with another console it seems Sony has a problem. When it was with PC they had no problem at all, but as soon as it's with MS and Nintendo they've got "safety concerns".
Also RL isn't just another game because Sony has...
Game looks solid!
Only thing that worries me how much content is in the game. It'd be nice if we could get info from the devs as to how long the game is.
I really hope it's good to promote other devs to go into partnerships with Nintendo.
Yeah you really have to know quite a bit about Idol culture in Japan to really understand the theme (Amazingly enough though it actually works). I think a lot of people were just put off by it purely because of the theme.
It was a good game but certainly not what was expected from an SMT/FE crossover.
And yeah the localization was just terrible. I think they made the actors redo lines purely for the western release (could be wrong on that but I'm sure...
"You're right paying for anything that's provided to you by a company should be free."
Read that through again pls.
Also nice straw man.
This is probably due to the demand from Indie studios. Indies are really jumping on the system and in some cases choosing to release the games on Switch ahead of a PS4 release which is very surprising.
Hopefully Nintendo can sort this out soon so developers won't have their games delayed for the Switch.
@Lime123
Hey look who crawled out of hiding after going quiet during the successful Splatoon 2 launch!
I'm really curious as to why you choose to hold DQXI as ammunition against the Switch when it's coming to the system at a later date.
"Nintendo hasn't started charging yet; maybe they won't, in the end? Wouldn't be the first time they've changed their minds on something."
To be honest part of me hopes that they're unable to deliver a service worth the money to force them into providing a free service.
Well it's a good thing they're not charging right now then isn't it.
Right now the service is meh, but free. I'd personally rather have online as free even if the trade-off is a worse service. Unfortunately though Microsoft set the trend, and Sony followed with pretty much zero resistance on the PS4. It was only a matter of time until Nintendo decided to go the same route.
Well the Wii U had better 3rd party support out the gate than the Switch sooo......
Why exactly is the Switch having a better launch?
I think at it's core it had potential (in terms of gameplay) but wasn't executed well.
It had an interesting mesh of 2.5D and 3D gameplay but was really lacking in Metroidvania elements which should be mandatory for any entry in the franchise. I'm not even going to talk about the story... I'd rather forget it...
It was fun but certainly not worthy of being a Metroid game.
