No Bioware has been having quite a few problems over the years for it to simply be EA. I think its a combination of EA wanting success comparable to Mass Effect and new management at Bioware thats not sure how that was achieved in the first place.
So what are all these amazing AAA games your getting for Q1 with your 300 dlls? Also why are you placing so much value on AAA's when they consistently make up the majority of dissapointing releases like dvery year?
Broaden your horizons a bit and look for the little gems! Don't be a casual.
Prime 4 and Bayonetta 3 are likely 2019 releases. I think they'll want Pokemon out this year though as their Q4 heavy hitter.
They may have a few surprises left but I would expect them to be AA quality games rather than anything like BotW or Mario Odyssey.
Yeh like you're buying nothing but new IP's on your preferred system.
I actually think 90% of original IP's that I buy are Indies and Switch will have no shortage of games there so I think I'll be fine.
Nationality and race are two very different things.
Oh absolutely.
I got into PC gaming more because none of the current gen consoles offered backwards compatibility at launch. It's also great to have a system that's capable of letting you revisit old games and even discover things you missed from previous generations. Hopefully, Nintendo and Sony will take note and make their next-gen systems have some form of backward compatibility and a way to transfer those purchases from previous generations.
@MrVux000
Then actually give your definition rather than using it as a way to lump empty praise onto a game.
I would define a game as generation-defining if it manages to start a trend. Call of Duty 4 popularised the FPS genre and had many games use similar templates for class systems. Dota 2 and League began the new wave of MOBA's and even inspired other genres to include your typical MOBA mechanics.
I cant think of anything Killzo...
@MrVux000
I think you're overplaying Killzones actual level of success.
A generation-defining game would be something Like Call of Duty 4 or Dota 2/League Of Legends. Killzone didn't really inspire much outside of its own series.
At least someone was able to pay attention to more than one line and not go out of their way to completely misinterpret it!
ON TOPIC:
This is a bit of an anomaly too because we had the gamespot tweet saying that a direct would begin in 45 minutes. Then YouTubers began livestreams waiting for the direct which fuelled the hype.
It's really surprising how Nintendo has pretty much done nothing and gotten media attention, then not given ...
@moegooner88
"Yeah factually calling opinion pieces for their bs is such a terrible terrible thing to do. Evil even I tell you."
That's a cute spin!
Your not really calling anything out it your misinterpreting what your calling out in the first place. But if that's how you feel I apologize for "calling" users on their b.s. attempts to begin flame wars. Terrible terrible thing to do amirite?
It's probably Red dead.
Not looking forward to it personally but R* games sell like crazy so I think it's fair to assume it's the one on most people's radar.
Yeah Heartgold and Soulsilver win hands down. You can't compete with two regions in one game since it's almost like a double pack.
It does get a bit boring doesn't it?
"I used “Nintendo” because the article specifically stated “Nintendo dominated.” I could’ve added “Sony’s PS4” but the sentiment would be the exact same so let’s not become a stickler over that."
No adding "Sony" there still doesn't change anything. If in my first comment I put "Microsoft's Xbox One" the context and framing is exactly the same as before. Point is when you say "Nintendo" your including The Switch, 3DS and SNES ...
"How can you say Nintendo dominated 2017 when PS4 received more quality titles, sold more hardware and software, has one of the most active online communities and continues to be lead platform for the majority of developers?"
Ok, first can you stop using "Nintendo" when you mean "Switch"? It's like saying Xbox One vs Sony. One is a console and the other is a company and it really changes the framing of what you're actually trying to tal...
Its a game that not only has great gameplay but top-notch presentation. Just look up some clips and hear the narration and soundtrack because it makes the game so great to play!
Heres an example for the soundtrack: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
I have 400 hours logged on Steam for this. A portable version is going to be so amazing!
@SuperSonic91
Then your 4 year old console is inferior to high end gaming PCs. By your logic that would mean every PS4 release is a lightweight on the technical side Compared to what I play on my PC right?
"Bering knowledgeable and being good are two totally different things"
Which is why I used the word capable. Also knowledge of a game comes through experience ;but if your incapable of playing competently then I highly doubt you'll gain that knowledge.
Remember that the point of a review is to inform potential buyers. If your not good at a certain genre then your not the person to be writing that review.
@Ittoittosai
Not anymore.
Bioware isn't the same as it was when they made the first Mass Effect.
