I wanna get excited about Kinect, but I don't see any games for it I can be excited about.
You're probably right. The Cell design is probably better suited to handle this. But Sony went with the Move. Initially I think Move will showcase much better games, but down the road who know what they'll come up with. I won't get move because I like the PS3 set up just the way it is. I'll probably get the new Raven controller if anything. As for Kinect, I might get it for the cool Xbox dashboard interface, but I won't lie to myself and think that the games will be ...
well then, where do you want to start? With the invention of the camera? How about the evolution of the single eye? Get of Sony's dick man. You're so on that shit that you're almost in it. There's almost nothing out there today that isn't based off a previous invention. Sony tech is definitely not the first in anything, and neither is Microsoft tech.
Two cameras do make a big difference. How'd you like to lose one eye and go play basketball? L...
Pachter, if you want to raise credibility amongst gamers, you should STFU and play some games. Maybe then you'll get a better feel for the market and its direction. Something about you tells me you play solitaire and backgammon in your spare time.
I honestly trust HipHopGamer more than I trust you, and that's with a big grain of salt to begin with. HipHopGamer at least plays video games.
The PS Eye only has one camera, hence it can only seen in mono-vision. It cannot tell depth. The Move scheme gets around this by using the glowing ball to tell distance depending on the size of the ball. Pretty smart way to go about it.
The Kinect mimics our own senses by having two cameras, creating stereo vision, giving it depth perception. Another smart way too, but much harder to implement. The point is, Kinect is not a copy of PS Eye. Anyone disagreeing needs to go...
don't worry about them blind sony fanboys. I like the PS3 myself, and have owned a PS and PS2. I always hated them Playstation controllers. Even back then, it seems that N64's and Dreamcast's advantage was controller design. No exception this time around. I read an article about Raven controllers that might map a 360 layout for the PS3. I'm buying it day one.
To me, the 60gb model was not worth the $500+ price tag. That shit yellow bricked on me twice. The PS3 slim however, for $299 is very well worth the money.
I agree with you there. But my favorites for PS3 this gen so far is Uncharted 1 & 2. As for the story in MGS series, honestly that shit lost me a while back. The whole octagon and clones of clones and big mama and all that weird bullshit. It was like some shitty soap opera. However, the game play and graphics were always bad ass.
I also thought that Prince of Persia (not the forgotten sands) reboot was really cool. Don't know if it sold well but probably my favorite out of the series.
what about Marcus Fenix?
Army of Two (the first one) was awesome for coop play. Too bad the 2nd game was absotively posilutely horrible.
Looks so sick that HIV would be scared to catch it.
I've had 2 YLODs for my 60gb PS3. Fixed it, traded that sucker in for a PS3 slim. I've had one RROD on my 360. Been lucky since. It's still obvious that 360 has had a much higher fail rate, but the old PS3s have heat & fan issues too.
Yeah, I remember PS3 fanboys claiming the same "we don't need rumble" for the PS3 controllers when they first came out. How's the six axis working? The games I play on my PS3 don't even use dual axis well enough. Hell they scrapped that in Uncharted 2 over Uncharted 1. Why don't you go play on your PSP-Go or something?
They had a Ninja Gaiden Hayabusa armor for Halo 3. So could we please get a Dead Space Isaac armor for Halo Reach?
Wait a damn minute. Take away Kinect's lag and casual games out of the equation. Knocking on them for distance is bullshit. Logic told me a long time ago that Kinect needs room simply because of its use of a camera to gauge full movements of your body. To follow suit, PS Move will also require some distance to properly read a full arm's swing and such.
I guarantee you that for the next iteration of consoles, Sony will charge 50 bucks a year (at least) for online play. The "free" period of PSN was to promote its service and to compete with XBL. Because the simple truth is, nothing is free.
Wow, break out of the fanboy mentality dude. You ever heard of the blackberry?
GRFS beta delayed with no date? BOOOOOOO!! I thought it was one of the best looking games of E3. Should have at least gotten a nod.
It looks really cool, but at $200, I'd rather save that up for the new 3DS coming out soon.
