One would expect the animations to be identical anyway. This is meaningless. Even GTA on iPhones and Androids have the original animations.

You're right. But this is more for the PC crowd since AMD Mantle is coming in offering lower level coding like consoles have. X1 can already code to the metal like PS4. MS have been resting on their laurels for way too long.. Now they have to be careful they don't lose windows gaming to other competition like Steam
Mantle is open source but written for AMD hardware. It's not like nVidia are suddenly going to redesign their hardware line up to make use of mantle.
But I'm excited by the prospect of a lower level coding that all vendors can use.. Lord know PC could really benefit with some optimization . It's good mantle is making people sit up and notice.

My original point was trying to get across that it's not a broken piece of messy crud port like GTA4 and others we've seen over the years with random FPS dips for no good reason.
I might be looking through rose tinted glasses though. I only played a couple of hours when it came out and got bored. AC doesn't seem to do it for me.

Yeah that's true. 7970m laptop GPU and a Tablet CPU. A good combo for high performance per watt but far from a powerhouse.
Just don't expect it to look like the PC build. Which its pretty obvious by now what was demo-ing all those times at E3. Do you think they downgraded the 'graphics' just to troll their future customers or something?
The elephant in the room is that the consoles aren't as powerful as Ubisoft originally anticipated.
If you want 1080p + and 60+ fps get a gaming rid and quit whining, otherwise just enjoy it

I don't know why you're having trouble. You should run HWinfo in an On Screen Display like Rivertuner and see why that is. PM me if you need a hand.
SLI. I have to 2 x 4GB cards. Yes I know they don't combine. Thats why I wrote 2 x 4GB instead of 8GB :)
